Biography[]
Grom first appeared in "Enchanting Grom Fright" where it is a main character of the episode. According to Amity, Grom is a monster that lives under Hexside and has the power to bring anyone's worst fear to life. Once a year, Grom tries to escape and wreak havoc on the Bolling Isles, so the school chooses a student champion to fight Grom. Hexside also throws a dance party to lift students up when the champion fight Grom, and whoever defeats Grom is crowned Grom Queen.
Amity is chosen to fight Grom, but she's too scared to, so Luz volunteers to fight Grom in her place. After training, Luz prepares to fight Grom, and at first it goes well, until Grom takes the form of Luz's worst fear, her mother. Grom chases Luz out of the school and onto a cliff. It is about to attack Luz until Amity jumps in front of its way. Grom then takes the form of Amity's worst fear, being rejected.
Amity and Luz then dance together and defeat it, thus being crowned the Grom Queens. The last remnants of Grom are then touched by Willow and Gus which show their worst fears: ladybugs and clowns.

Trivia[]
- Its name appears to be derived from "Prometheus", a Titan from Greek mythology credited for creating the human race.
- Grom may be a reference to Boggart from the Harry Potter series.
- Grometheus seems to be inspired by or parodying Pennywise from Stephen King's It, as both are monstrous evils that appear once every set period of time, are trapped under a main location of the series and take on the form of their enemies' worst fears.
