Grunk is a villain from the Teletoon animated series, Sidekick. He is a prehistoric caveman, who is recognized as the first villain in all of history. Currently, he is frozen in a glacier and put on display for all to see. He appeared in "The Land Before Grunk".
He was voiced by Doug Hadders.
Biography[]
Millions of years ago, Grunk, the world's first supervillain ruled the Earth. The early superheroes of the prehistoric era tried to stop Grunk but they were no match for his mighty dinosaur army. Then one day, Maxum Man arrived and used his frost breath to freeze Grunk for all of eternity (or until a really hot day, whichever comes first). Currently, Grunk is on display in the colossal ice glacier, where he is frozen.
In "The Land Before Grunk", the sidekicks went down to the glacier to see Grunk. Eric thought that Grunk didn't look so tough and decided to pretend to fight him by doing some lame karate moves. He picked up a small rock and made a pathetic throw at the glacier, which was so embarassing, he was glad nobody saw it. After he left, the ice cracked from the rock.
Eventually, the entire city of Splittsboro was being overrun by dinosaurs, led by the now-free Grunk. Grunk thanked Eric for setting him free and fell in love with Kitty, much to Vana's jealousy. Not because she was interested in Grunk but because she was mad that someone else was being considered prettier than herself. Grunk then kidnapped Kitty and escaped with her into the desert. However, Eric was more concerned with the fact that he stole his sandwich, than he was with the fact that he kidnapped his friend, who was also an underage minor that he had a romantic interest in.
Grunk took Kitty back to his cave in the desert, where he trapped her in a cage and made her a fancy dinner. Eric and Trevor stepped in to try and save her and they got into a huge fight with him. Grunk threw a giant pile of dinosaur poop at them but they dodged it, which he could not account for. Eventually, Grunk gave up because fighting two people was too complicated for him, so he instead summoned his dinosaurs to attack them instead. This led to Eric and Trevor getting trapped in a cage, while Grunk treated Kitty to a nice little dinner date, where all they ate was meat.
Eric and Trevor called up Vana to come down and save them and Vana, motivated by her jealousy over Kitty being seen as more pretty than herself, went on a neanderthalic violent rampage against Grunk and the dinosaurs, defeating them easily. In the end, she used her freeze ray to freeze Grunk in his old glacier, once again. However, she let the power go to her her and she also froze Eric, Trevor, and Kitty for all of eternity as well. Grunk assured them all that there was no need to worry, as after the first thousand years of being frozen, time would just fly by.
