The Guardian Angel is one of the neutral benign roles in the mystery role-playing game Town of Salem. They do not have an exact white or black alignment, and can be classified as on & off hero/villain, depending on their target's role. If their target is evil, the Guardian Angel will help them to keep the target alive and win. This automatically makes them villain.

Official Backstory[]
| “ | "Mama...Mama, where are you?" A young child reaches out through a gap in the rubble of what used to be her home. The area was filled with pungent smoke, and the crying child was covered in ash and soot. "I'm scared..." Her soft voice starts to tremble, and she bites her lip. Small flames dotted the debris and danced in place. "Another arsonist attack," reports a Sheriff in his heavy Southern accent. "What a shame. A lovely house and family, too." The Investigator he spoke to nodded silently, his gaze wavering around until he caught sight of the helpless child, trapped in place. "Hold on, there's a child in there!" He broke into a run towards the area, "Get the Doctor! Get anyone! She could be hurt!" The town suddenly bursts to life, scrambling here and there to assist this child, and it was almost equivalent to the chaos that erupts during the daily trials. The girl begins to sob as the Investigator kneels next to her and attempts to pull a wooden beam off of her. "It's going to be alright, dear, just hold still..." His voice is nothing but indecipherable mumbles to the girl, who instead gazes onward to a strange, glowing ball of light that has descended from the sky before her. The orb soon branches out into a torso, arms, legs, hands-- "Mama?" Her face was beautiful, like an angel, with a rounded face and warm, loving eyes, curly hair that fell in waves down to her waist. She stepped down in front of the young girl and ran her hand along her face, wiped her tears with a gentle finger. "Don't cry, my love," she whispered, her voice a soothing song. "I am your Guardian Angel." |

Town of Salem[]
The Guardian Angel is a protective role. They have a target and they try to keep them alive and protect until the end of the game. They have an ability to watching over their target twice. If a Guardian Angel watches over their target, they will protect their target from the following:
- Multiple attacks
- Jailor execution
- Arsonist ignition and douse
- Poisoner's poison (even the Poisoner possesses the Necronomicon)
- To voted up to trial next day
However, they can not still prevent the following:
- Jester haunt
- The unstoppable attack from Hex Master
- Vigilante's death from guilt after having shot a fellow Town member
An Executioner, Jester and Guardian Angel can not become the target of the Guardian Angel. When the GA's target dies, the GA will become a Survivor without vests. The Guardian Angel can protect their target even in death.
Winning Conditions[]
It does not matter the Guardian Angel dies or not, their target must be alive until the end.
Investigation Results[]
- Sheriff: "You cannot find evidence of wrongdoing. Your target seems innocent."
- Investigator: "Your target could be a Spy, Blackmailer, Jailor, or Guardian Angel."
- Consigliere: "Your target is watching over someone. They must be a Guardian Angel."
Achievements[]
There are some achievements that can be earned by perform tasks. They are the achievements that dedicated to the Guardian Angel:
- Guardian: Win one game.
- Holy Protector: Win five games.
- Defender of the Week: Win ten games.
- Castiel: Win twenty-five games.
- Divine Intervention: Save the target.
- From Beyond the Grave: Save the target when you are dead.
- Revitalized: Purge a poison and a douse from the target.
Trivia[]
- It's skin version, Uriel, is referred to as female, although the fact Uriel is a male angel in Biblical texts.
