Guernica is a major antagonist in the Wano Country Arc of One Piece. He is a member of CP0. He first appears during the conflict between the Donquixote Pirates and the Straw Hat Pirates and Trafalgar D. Water Law to provide assistance to Donquixote Doflamingo before leaving Dressrosa. He appears in Wano during the time of the Wano raid to carry out his mission on behest of the Five Elders but is ultimately killed by Kaido for interfering in his duel with Luffy as well his mission of killing Luffy was a major failure.
He is voiced by Katsumi Suzuki and later Hiromu Miyazaki (who replaced the latter) in the Japanese version, and by Brian Hathaway in the English version.
Overview[]
Guernica and his two fellow CP0 (Joseph and Gismonda) appears at Dressrosa informed the citizen that Donquixote Doflamingo's resignation was a fake. They were patrolling at Dressrosa before leaving.
Guernica, Joseph and Maha later has a meeting with Kurozumi Orochi (who wants Dr. Vegapunk). They were invited to Onigashima to drink alcohol and play Shogi go game. This was until they were ordered by Rob Lucci to capture Nico Robin. However, Robin has escaped from Guernica and his fellow CP0 agents' grasps with the help from Robin's crew mate, Brook. Maha was presumably killed by Izo (who also goes down with Maha) and Guernica was severely injured by Drake. Guernica was ordered by the Five Elders to kill Monkey D. Luffy, though he considered it to be impossible and suicidal. Guernica interfered Luffy's fight with Kaido, allowing the Emperor to have an unfair win (similar what happened 20 years ago in his fight with Kozuki Oden until their fight was intervene by Kurozumi Higurashi). Guernica soon meets his ends when he was smashed to death savagely by Kaido for daring to interrupt his battle (just like when he killed Kurozumi Higurashi for her own meddlings). When Luffy awakened to continue his fight with Kaido, Kaido apologized to Luffy about Guernica's interrupted and called the CP agent as an idiot.
According to the Five Elders, they've lost Guernica and failed to kill Luffy, but in the moment of his death, Guernica did managed to photograph him to send the image to the Elders and the Marines when he awakened his devil fruit and unveil its true name as Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika just so the Marines makes an update of Luffy's bounty.

As a CP0 agent, Guernica is one of the strongest agents of the World Government even one of the Five Elders considered him to be one of their bests.
He has all 6 Rokushiki when shown he has Tekkai, Shigan, and Soru.
He has immense durability as he was unfazed by the Kazenbo rampage and when he was injured by Drake and Izo.

- Despite his mission to eliminate Luffy failed, Guernica's efforts unintentionally allowed Luffy to awaken his true devil fruit powers.
