Guillaume Tarrant is a minor antagonist in Oz.
Biography[]
Tarrant is a French inmate imprisoned for destroying a statue. He had no gangs to protect him and became an easy target for bullies.
Season 4[]
Upon coming to Emerald City, Tarrant is immediately bullied by Kenny Wangler, Poet, and Junior Pierce. He attempts to inform Tim McManus of this, but McManus is not much help.
Ryan O'Reily takes pity on Tarrant and tells McManus to give him a transfer. McManus' sometimes petty nature and past bad blood with O'Reily causes him to ignore the warning. Ryan then goes to Tarrant, giving him some weed and telling him to retaliate against Kenny at the earliest opportunity.
Simon Adebisi who hates Kenny leaves a gun under Tarrant's mattress and when the homeboys again try to bully him, Tarrant shoots both Kenny and Junior dead, also shooting Chris Keller who wasn't involved at all in bullying him. Perhaps because of the guilt of what he did Tarrant then turns the gun on himself. This ultimately leads to Martin Querns replacing McManus.
