Kehehe, would you like to know my name? Others may see your courage as recklessness... However, I welcome it. In honor of your courage, I shall reveal to you my name. May you never forget it as long as you live! You may call me... Gundham Tanaka! Remember it well, for it is the name that will one day rule this world!
~ Gundham Tanaka

Gundham Tanaka is one of the characters featured in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair as well as supporting protagonist and a minor antagonist of DanganRonpa 3. His Ultimate Talent is the Ultimate Breeder and he has four pet hamsters known as the Four Dark Devas Of Destruction.

He succumbed to despair along with his classmates after being brainwashed by Junko Enoshima and became a part of Ultimate Despair.

He is also the main antagonist of Chapter 4 of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair after dueling with Nekomaru Nidai. Gundham came out as the winner, which also made him the culprit of the fourth murder case. During his execution, he protects his hamsters (Four Dark Devas Of Destruction) and Monokuma executes him by running him down by a stampede of animals. The angel animals also sends him to heaven afterwards.

In Danganropa 3 - Episode Hope, Gundham awakes from his coma and joins the other Former Remnants of Despair in the final battle and stop Ryota Mitarai.

In Japanese version of both the game and the anime, he is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita. In the English version, he is voiced by Chris Tergliafera in the game (who also voiced Sigma in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite) and Scott Frerichs in the anime. In the live-action stageplay version of the game, he is portrayed by Masahiro Inoue, who also portrayed Tsukasa Kadoya aka Kamen Rider Decade.

Appearance

He wears knee-length black jacket which is left open, left sleeve rolled up to the elbow and fastened to the jacket with silver pins. He wears a long purple scarf, which wraps around his neck and covers his chin, wears a white button-up layered over a slightly darker shirt with a purely-grey cross design on the chest. He also wears black pants tucked into black boots riddled with straps.

Personality

He is really cool and a fun guy to hang out with. Most of his fellow students tend to be wary, but he is a very warm and loving person on the inside.
