Gustav is the main antagonist of Saint Nicolas.
Biography[]
Gustav is the arch-rival of Epiphanus and runs a fishing business where the father works with him. He fires the father by kicking him out of his boat for accidentally hitting him with the oars. Gustav is dismayed when Epiphanus gives the father a free fish to cheer up. After Nicholas's parents died from a sickness, Gustav greets Nicholas and forces him to give fish away to people, but then one of his employees steal the basket of fish from Nicholas while the crowd asking for some.
When Nicholas returns home, Gustav becomes a mayor and made things cost money so everyone will pay money for things from now on. He tells people that the punishment for those who violating this law and not paying one gold coin for a fine, they will be thrown in jail forever. Gustav and his roman guard watching the employees, but he then caught the daughters for giving things for free. He warns the daughters that they had three days to pay a fine, or else they'll be thrown in jail, which Nicholas and Octavius (played by Mr. Lunt) decides to save the daughters.
The next day, Gustav bosses people around by telling them to be careful with tuna. He also told the father that he still needs a coin for the two daughters. Gustav and his roman guards plotting to capture the mysterious givers (which Nicholas and Octavius disguises as Santa Claus and Elf). Another next day, Gustav and his roman guards marching around the markets, but then he is furious over the mysterious giver after the father gave him a gold coin for his daughter.
At night, Gustav and his roman guards surround the father’s house so they prepare to throw the third daughter in jail by tomorrow. After the father's daughters is saved, Gustav is furious and orders his roman guards to find the mysterious givers. He and his roman guards chases after Nicholas and Octavius through the town. He gets splashed snow by Nicholas, Octavius, Bob and Larry on a cart, making him look like a snowman. Gustav then lies down in defeat when he see the four veggies jumps over the chasm on a cart with the sheep, believing it was Santa's sleigh with six tiny reindeers.
