Gustav Munoz was a supporting antagonist of the Chicago P.D. episodes "Turn the Light Off" and "My Way". He was a Colombian assassin. who worked for Pulpo, while an APB was out on him after the Voight's team busted Rolo Ramirez and his crew. He is known to use hollow point bullets in his weapons and is skilled in hand-to-hand combat who beaten both Adam Ruzek and Jay Halstead in a fight.
Background[]
It is unknown how long Gustav had been in the Colombian Cartel, but he had been in it long enough to be a high-ranking member in Rolo Ramirez's crew. It was believed that Munoz was the one to kill several priests in Lawndale. One of their members who is in prison, Miguel Ortega overheard Dominik Perko talking about a robbery plan in warehouse that his brother worked at. Ortega would then tell his people about it and with that Rolo Ramirez would make his own plan to take the money for themselves and planned to kill all outside involvement. They then had one of their members Eric Gonzalez planted inside the warehouse.
Turn the Light Off[]
Perko's crew of Croatians would rob the warehouse leaving four guards dead. Both Gonzalez and Lukas Perko were the only survivors. Munoz and several other members would go to the Croation gang, killed then and then took the 8 million dollars for themselves. However, one of their men were shot by one of the Creations but was left there. Munoz would then pretend to be a homeless man to kill Lukas Perko. Monoz would walk over to Perko, who was in his car and wash his it. When Perko opened the window to tell the guy to stop, Munoz would throw what was thought to be water but was actually, gasoline inside Perko's car. He would then light a match and throw it inside the car. This caused both the car and Perko to catch fire. He would then flee but was chased by Adam Ruzek as Alvin Olinsky tried to put the flames on Perko out. Munoz would escape in a getaway car as Ruzek watched helplessly. Rolo Ramirez would then probably have Dominik Perko killed too, but it is known if that was successful. Happy with their efforts, Rolo would hire some girls to have sex with them unaware that they were two undercovers, Kim Burgess and Nadia Decotis. When Munoz saw them, he asked why they were here. Another member told them that Rolo ordered them, but Munoz would be mad that Rolo is not here. Munoz would then try to have one of the women, Burgess to do a rail of coke. Decotis would do the rail. Rolo would show up and Munoz takes Burgess to be with him. Burgess would hide in the bathroom and call the Intelligence unit. When they come busting open the door Munoz would burst open the bathroom were Burgess was and the two start to fight. However, when Munoz hears other police come, he exits through a window. Adam Ruzek would chase him exiting the window and there the two men fought. However, Munoz beat Ruzek and fled. Intelligence would chase Munoz. Munoz would then enter a random house followed close behind by Jay Halstead. The two of them would fight but Munoz would end as the winner, kicking Halstead a few times before leaving.
Commander Perry tells Voight and Dawson that Pulpo is being brought out of prison by Bruce Belden to lure Munoz out. He stated that Munoz has proven to be deadly, and they are desperate.
My Way[]
On Pulpo's orders, Munoz kills eight people in a house that was making drugs. Pulpo would then play Intelligence by pretending to help them capture Munoz by leading them to Marcos Robles, who had a beef with Munoz after he tried to kill Robles. However, Munoz would then kill two Ukrainian Mob bosses in a bath house, and a witness is able to identify him as the shooter. With this Intelligence threatens Pulpo's family if he does not give them the truth. Pulpo tells them that Munoz will be at a festival where a high-level man from New York, Francisco Heredia will be, to take him out. The team go to the festival undercover. As Pulpo said Munoz shows up with another man. They both killed the Heredia's guards causing a panic. Alvin Olinsky would take out the other guy as everyone tries to find Munoz. Antonio Dawson would spot Munoz as he heads opposite of the fleeing crowd. Just as he pulls out a gun he is shot in the back of the head by Halstead and collapses to the floor.
