Gwendal Roche is a minor antagonist from Fire Emblem: Three Houses and a supporting antagonist in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Gwendal is a knight in the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus in House Rowe serving Count Rowe.
He was voiced by Ryo Sugisaki in Japanese and Michael Sorich in English.
Appearance[]
Gwendal is a elderly man with blue hair, moustache, and beard, a single brown eye (with the other being scratched out), and sliver, bulky armor.
Biography[]
Gwendal is usually first seen the Valley of Torment in the Sliver Snow, Azure Moon, and Verdant Wind routes, where he is sent to intersect Byleth's forces from reaching Judith there. This is nearly the same in the Azure Moon route, with Judith being replaced with Rodrigue. Despite his best efforts, Gwendal was defeated, and in his dying moments, Gwendal thanks his enemies for putting him to rest.
In Chapter 16 during the Crimson Flower route, Gwendal, alongside Rodrigue and Cornelia Arnim, defend the Sliver Maiden Arianrhod from the Black Eagle Strike Force lead by Edelgard von Hresvelg. The Strike Force was successful in their siegem as Arianrhod fell under their control, with Gwendal being killed during the battle.
