Gyutaro and Daki's mother is a minor antagonist in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. She was the Shanaba siblings' mother who was killed by the disease that Daki would be name after, Ume.
Biography[]
Gyutaro and Daki's mother lived in Kirimise multiple times, even before he was born, and she was physically abusive to Gyutaro as well. When Ume was born, her mother tried to kill her due to her hatred for Ume's hair and eye color, but eventually, their mother died of syphilis, or "Ume," which is what Ume would be named after.
