The Hades Beastman Belbireji the Incubus is the minor antagonist of Mahou Sentai Magiranger, appearing in Episodes 23 and 24 as the primary antagonist.
He was voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa.
Biography[]
Belbireji first appeared in the beginning of the episode when teenage boy named Kouta, who was Tsubasa, the MagiYellow's friend, ran through a creepy green forest and got his feet tied in weeds. Belbireji appeared and grabbed him and Kouta fell down a cliff. The boy awoke as he had fallen off his bed. He sat on his bed and the Belbireji was real. Belbireji attacked Kouta and stole his life force and then gave it to his minion Hades Beast Spider.
Later, Tsubasa decided to go to his friend, greet Kouta with his birthday and give the boy a present, because Kouta was son of Tsubasa's gym's owner. Tsubasa grabbed the present and came to Kouta's hose and to his friend's room, but MagiYellow found the boy unconscious. Kouta didn't move and had three marks on his neck. Tsubasa was horrified and started wondering how to save his friend.
Meanwhile, Mandora-Boy called Tsubasa and told the MagiYellow go the city, because Belbireji attacked Tokyo. Tsubasa spotted the monster and his comrades arrived. Hikaru told his apprentices that the villain's name is Belbireji the Incubus. Belbireji attacked a woman and placed her into a trance. Hikaru said that the monster could enter the people's dreams and show them their nightmares. MagiShine said Belbireji took out the woman's soul and after five hours, without her soul, she would die. Tsubasa recognized the mark on the woman's neck, which were on Kouta's neck. The six Magirangers transformed. Belbireji summoned Zobils and the Rangers fought the Infershia's footsoldiers. Tsubasa jumped at the incubus demon and fought Belbireji, but the monster easily overpowered MagiYellow and teleported away.
Belbireji returned to underworld and Meemy praised and congratulated his minion for his sucessful job of steing the souls of the people. Belbireji also argued with Vancuria and asked the vampire queen for her embrace. Vancuria called the incubus demon a sleaze. Memmy then teleported Belbireji back to the Surface to continue their plan and mission.
Meanwhile, in the Ozu house the Magirangers discussed where Belbireji kept the stolen souls, because Hikaru knew that the villain didn't hold the souls with him. Mandora-Boy informed the Rangers that the demon already stole seven hundred souls of the citizens. Tsubasa decided to use the forbidden Bibas's time reversing magic to see where Belbireji kept the stolen souls. However, Hikaru forbidded him to use this magic and MagiShine protested at once, telling Tsubasa that if he would use this forbiden magic, the balance of time at Earth would be ruined. However Tsubasa disobeyed sensei and while the Rangers splitted to search for Belbireji, Tsubasa prepared the magic elixir, by using the book and sprayed the elixir on his hands. Then Tsubasa arrived to Kouta's room and ripped the pages he needed. MagiYellow then pulled out his MagiPhone and it sizzled with black lighting. MagiYellow demanded to be taken to where the tragedy happened. He did it and was struck with blue lighting. Tsubasa got down on his knees. The clock in the room went backwards. Tsubasa saw himself go in and out of the room. It was the night and he saw Kouta on the floor. Belbireji grabbed Kouta and stole his soul. He gave the soul to his henchman Hades Beast Spider. Tsubasa put a spell on his eyes to track the Spider's movements, it was a purple trail.
Tsubasa met with his siblings in the warehouse and Urara suspected that Tsubasa used a forbiden magic. Tsubasa denied it, but Urara showed him the book with a missing page. Spider arrived from above and attacked the siblings. They transformed and Tsubasa attacked the monster. Kai used his magic and got the souls out of Spider's body, turning the souls into the white ball. Kai gave the ball to Tsubasa, but Belbireji arrived and stole the ball again. Belbireji gave the ball to Spider and the villains escaped. The Magirangers followed the monsters and Spider created a web around the buildings. The Magirangers tried walking on the web and avoid his attacks. Spider cut the web and the Houka and Urara fell. Makito caught the sisters with his magic muscles and Kai fought Spider. The monster threw Kai from the web, but Kai created pillows to soft the fall. Tsubasa used the MagiPunch and fought Spider. Tsubasa beat Spider and threw him down to the ground. Tsubasa caught the ball with souls and was happy, but suddenly Tsubasa felt the result of the forbiden magic and his health became worse. Hikaru who fought Wolzard at the subway at that time, sensed the pain of Tsubasa and arrived to help the Magirangers.
Meemy enlarged Spider and the Rangers formed MagiKing to fight the demon. They avoided Spider's attacks and then overpowered and took the demon down. They tried finishing Spider off but Tsubasa's Magistick falls out of his hand. MagiKing splitted up into Majins and then the Rangers were un-transformed. Tsubasa went going through pain, the white ball full of souls rolled out of his hands and got into the hands of Belbireji. Belbireji flew away and hitched a ride with Spider. They both teleported away. The black whirlpool inside Tsubasa made the sky dark. All time was flowing into his body. Hikaru made a barrier that stopped the whirlpool and picked Tsubasa's body up. The Magirangers brought Tsubasa to Ozu house and Hikaru revealed to his apprentices that the barrier was temporar and soon the world would be destroyed with a time displacement. Hikaru told the siblings that the only thing that could heal Tsubasa was a magic staff on the sacred mountain. Hikaru declared that he was gonna go to the mountain and find it to save Tsubasa. Belbireji returned to Infershia and Meemy explained his plan to his underlings. The demons planned to shoot with the stolen souls with the special device and destroy Tokyo with a giant explosion.
Later, Belbireji again attacked the city and one girl cried for help. Incubus attacked her and stole her soul. Spider then created the bomb from the human souls. While Hikaru went to the sacred mountain to get the magic staff and cure Tsubasa, the four Magirangers flew to the city to stop Incubus and free the stolen souls. The Magirangers arrived and fought the monsters, but were easily overpowered. The heroes gathered their powers and managed to overwhelm the two demons, but Belbireji used his secret ability to confuse the Rangers. The villain took out Houka's and Urara's souls and put them back to their bodies. The girls became confused. They saw Kai and Makito in danger. The girls kicked who they thought were Incubus but it were Kai and Makito. Kai and Makito were un-transformed by Houka and Urara, who were then kicked down by Belbireji.
Meanwhile, Hikaru was heading to the saint mountain to find the magic staff to heal Tsubasa. Tsubasa left Ozu house and followed sensei. Hikaru was shocked that Tsubasa disobeyed him again and followed him, but Tsubasa convinced sensei that only together they would find the magic staff. Hikaru agreed and together, they had already reached the secret mountain and found the magic staff, but Wolzard appeared attacked them. Wolzard stole the magic staff and Hikaru had to fight him to return the staff. Wolzard turned into WolKaiser and Hikaru summoned Travelion to fight the villain.
The four Magirangers were un-transfomed and tired. Vancuria arrived and told Belbireji to shoot the firework already, but Incubus started flirting with Vampire Queen, telling her that she wasn't cute when she was mad. Incubus touched ad embraced Vancuria, causing her to split into Nei and Mea. The Rangers lay on the ground powerless and thought they were unable to continue the fight. However, the siblings remembered the promise they gave Tsubasa and transformed to continue the battle. The heroes received the new spell and used the reverse spay of the destruction fire.
Meanwhile, Hikaru already defeated Wolzard and got the staff back. Hikaru then used the staff and healed Hikaru from his curse. Belbireji overwhelmed and beat down the four and was about to start the bombing of the city, but Tsubasa and Sungel arrived and helped their friends. The five Magirangers jumped and threw the two monsters and Hikaru grabbed the souls. The Rangers did the Magic Aerial Slash, that destroyed Spider, whom Incubus shoved in the way. The souls returned to their owners. Belbireji became giant and stepped on the five Magirangers. MagiKing came from under the villain. The heroes punched him down and overpowered Incubus. The demon flew in the air and the magic warriors followed him with their wings. Eventually, the Magirangers slashed Incubus down and conducted their finisher on him, destroying the monster.
