The Hades Ultimate God Drake is a major antagonist of Mahou Sentai Magiranger, appearing in the Episodes 37 and 38 as the secondary antagonist and in the Episodes 41 and 42 as the primary antagonist. He later returns in Super Hero Taisen as the supporting antagonist.
He is the member of the Infershia Pantheon and is the member of the two Ultimate Gods. He is the dragon/drake themed monster and is by far the most violent and hot-blooded of the Gods. He represents the Infershia's Shield and is by far the most violent and bloodthirsty of the Infershia Pantheon. He possesses an incredibly hard and durable armor, that no weapon could damage and was rumored to be the most durable armor in Infershia. Unlike the other Hades Gods, Drake has no loyalty towards Absolute God N Ma or any respect towards the ritual of the Slab of Judgement. His only desire was to go on a rampage and destroy everything on the surface, as he demonstrated by destroying buildings when the Gods revealed themselves. He was the fourth Hades God to fight the Magirangers and enforce the Divine Punishment and is one of the most powerful Hades Gods and servants of N Ma. He was also one of the most powerful and formidable opponents of the Magirangers. Drake was also a partner and good friend of his fellow comrade Hades Wise Goddess Gorgon, with whom he shared many traits, such as arrogance and disobedience of the Dark Precepts.
He was voiced by Kazuki Yao and physically played by Jiro Okamoto.
Biography[]
After N Ma was again destroyed by Isamu's sacrifice, it activated a fail safe in the awakening of the Infershian Pantheon. When Vancuria found the valley of the Hades Gods, she explained to them that they had to help Infershia conquer the Surface World and destroy the Magirangers. The Gods listened her and agreed to help the Vampire Queen. Then the Gods arrived to the Human World and Dagon introduced them to the people of Earth and told the public that they were their punishers and have surfaced to tell humans to wallow in despair for the judgment they will execute. When Magirangers tried to interfere, the Gods easily defeated their MagiLegend Robo and left with leaving a warning.
Out of all Hades Gods, Drake was the most bloodthirsty and aggressive and desired to eliminate the Human World, even by breaking and violating the Dark Precepts. When the Gods had their ceremony of choosing the God to enforce the Divine Punishment, Drake was constantly furious that the Slab of Judgement didn't choose him. Drake, along with Gorgon, felt annoyed that the Gods had to follow the Dark Precepts and believed that they had to destroy the Surface and their enemies at all costs.
In the thirty sixth episode, when Gods were spending their time with their hobbies and Wyvern intrthem to Nei & Mea, Drake was sitting and killing time. Then they had a ceremony of choosing the God to carry on the Divine Punishment and Ifrit was chosen.
Drake wanted to destroy the Magirangers at all costs, even if it meaned breaking and violating the Dark Precepts. Drake broke the Dark Precepts in the thirty seventh episode. When Cyclops was chosen to carry on the Divine Punishment, Drake decided to impress his master the Absolute God by destroying Hikaru, the MagiShine and the mentor of the Magirangers. Drake learfrom Gorgon the place where Hikaru was training and went to this place to destroy Hikaru. While Cyclops attacked and fought the five Magirangers, Hikaru was training with Smoky in the other dimension. Drake arrived to this dimension and attacked the MagiShine and his fellow cat genie. Hikaru transformed and summoned Travelion to fight Drake. Hikaru asked Drake why did he come there and the Hades God answered that he was bored and wanted to fight Hikaru to "play a game" with MagiShine. Meanwhile, in the Infershia, Gods wondered where was Drake and Dagon ordered Nei & Mea to spy on Drake. Hikaru then fought Drake and was hard to fight the Hades God. Hikaru successfully tied Drake and tried sucking him, but it didn't work and Drake called Shine and attacked him.
Hikaru and Smoky jumped out of Travelion, when they were attacked. Drake taunted Hikaru, telling the Shine not to disappoint him and the battle continued. Drake easily overpowered Hikaru and Hikaru tried to fight the Hades God with all of his attacks, but Drake easily deflected and withstanded all of Shine's attacks. Hikaru was horrified that his attacks didn't work on Drake, but had no other choice than continu fighting. Drake eventually kicked Hikaru off to the clift and charged his weapon. While they were fighting, Vancuria spied on them.
Eventually, Drake knocked down Hikaru and attacked him with his energy attack, but Hikaru transformed inti Sungel and tried tk attack Drake with his energy attack, but failed. Shine tried another energy attack against Drake, but Sphinx stopped them. Sphinx pointed her weapi. At Drake and told him that he should leave and ovey the Dark Precepts. Drake reluctantly agreed and retreated.
In the thirty ninth episode, when gods had a ceremony of chosing the God, the Slab of Judgement chose Gorgon and Drake was mad that it wasn't his turn.
In the forty first episode when Sphinx taunted the deceased Gorgon by reminding that her failure was because of her own mistakes. Drake was about to hit Sphinx, but Wyvern stopped him and offered Drake to punish him. Drake and Wyvern fought and Wyvern was faster but couldn't get through Drake's armor. Toad told Nei & Mea that Drake's armor was couldn'tmost durable in Infershia and couldn't be damaged by any weapon. Drake was about to attack Wyvern, but the gods had a ceremony, and Drake was happy when the Slub of Judgement finally chose him to carry on the Divine Punishment. Drake declared that he would kill the magicians if they would try to interfere and passed through the slab.
Drake then attacked Tokyo and started his rampage in the city. Meanwhile, Dagon met with Blagel at the magic river and Wolzard appeared in front of him. Dagon then showed Isamu Drake on the surface and wondered how long he could be silent and not interfere. Drake destroyed many buildings. He then changed to his another form. When the energy of his body would break through, his dragon power will instantly explode, making the surface a dead world. Drake then encountered the Magirangers, who used their MagiLegend and Travelion Robos. At first Magirangers attacked Drake with the Magi Firebird and then they formed MagiLegend. Hikaru remembered how Drake easily defeated him the last time they fought. Kai asked Drake if he was the one who held their mother captured and Drake answthat it wasn't his concern. Hikaru vowed not to loose to Drake this time. At first Magirangers attacked Drake with their finisher but of course it didn't work and Drake attacked them with his fire attack and knocked them down in their ranger forms. Later Magirangers used their Legend Power and became Majins. They formed the MagiDragon and fought Drake. Drake then fought Travelion and the five warriors attacked the Hades God. They clashed their firepower and Kai was knocked down. Kai then kicked Drake down.
While Kai demorped and Hikaru talked to him and told the MagiRed about his mistakes, Drake dtoowered MagiDragon and shrunk to the human size. Drake was about to finish the Magirangers, but Heavenly Saint Snowgel interfered and helped the heroes. Snowgel fought Drake and successfully held her own against the villain, but Drake eventually overpowered the ice sorceress. Snowgel then summoned her magic spell and Drake was sucked to her ice dimension.
Snowgel told the Magirangers to go with her and help her defeat Drake, except Hikaru whom she forbid to follow them, because he disobeyed her.
Magirangers and Snowgel arrived at Snowgel's ice dimension and fought Drake. Snowgel froze Drake's fireballs and turned into the snowballs. Then the Rangers combined their MagiBolts and attacked Drake. Snowgel then froze the villain completely. Drake then broke through the ice and attacked Snowgel with his fire attack, and she tried to hold back as much as she could. Snowgel then told the five warriors to combine their powers against Drake. Meanwhile, in the Infershia Dagon worried about Drake and decided to send Sleipnir to aid Drake in battle, even despite Sphinx's protests because it violated the Dark Precepts. In the snow dimension, Magirangers combined their powers with Snowgel and attacked Drake together, but this attack threw them out of the dimension.
The Rangers and Snowgel were then teleported to the quarry and attacked by Drake. Drake threw them out of their armor and they all were in pain. Drake was about to leave, but Hikaru attacked him. Hikaru told Snowgel hethat he finally realized the lesson Kai taught him. Snowgel teleported away and Hikaru fought Drake. At first Drake again quickly gained the upper hand, but then Shine managed to defeat him by striking his weak point in the neck. The Rangers were happy, but Drake returned to his giant size. The Rangers all transformed and formed their MagiLegend and Travelion to battle the villain. The heroes were about to fight Drake, but Sleipnir arrived, shocking the Magirangers. Drake was at first surprised that Sleipnir arrived to help him, but then accepted his help and decided together fight the Rangers. Blagel saw all of this and decided to help the Magirangers. Drake then fought Hikaru and Travelion's attacks didn't work on him. Drake then knocked down Travelion, while Sleipnir summoned his Dark Chariot and easily overpowered the MagiLegend. Kai wasn't giving up and they continued fighting. When Sleipnir was about to attack the Rangers, Blagel appeared in the form of Wolzard WolKentaurus and stopped him. Isamu later clashed with Sleipnir and cut off wheels if his chariot. Blagel then transformed into his WolfKaiser form and dragged Sleipnir back to Infershia. However, before Blagel left Vancuria placed Dagon's fish scale on one of his wolf mouths on his armor, in order to help Dagon track him and take N Ma's soul from him.
After Blagel dragged Sleipnir back to Infershia, Drake was fighting and attacking Travelion. Hikaru held Drake in place and showed his comrades Drake's weak spot. The heroes then fired at Drake's weak spot in his neck, heavily weakening the Hades God. Hikaru then used Travelion and destroyed Drake by sucking and burning him in the Travelion's engine. The Hades Gods weren't shocked by Drake's death, because they said given to his violent and ruthless nature he deserved his defeat.
Super Hero Taisen[]
Drake was later revived as a member of the Shocker Zangyack Alliance, who eventually fought the army of Kamen Riders and Super Sentai. Along with Nurikabe, Kasha, a Makamou, Hades God Cyclops, and Hades God Sleipnir, he was defeated by the Magirangers and Kamen Rider Hibiki.
