The Hades Warrior God Cyclops is the major antagonist of Mahou Sentai Magiranger, appearing in Episodes 37 and 38 as the primary antagonist. He later returns as a dark form in Gokaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199 Hero Great Battle as a supporting antagonist.
He is the member of the Infershia Pantheon and the member of the Five Warrior Gods. He is the robotic cyclops themed monster marksman and is the best sharpshooter of the Hades Gods. He wielded a large sniper rifle with a bayonet in battle, that used a different ammunition with different effects in battle. The Rifle could fire a red energy laser that can vaporize a person or anything on contact in a cloud of red energy. He could also use the rifle for combat, by launching the powerful energy lasers from the side of the bayonet. Cyclops was the second of the Hades Gods that was sent to fight the Magirangers and to carry on the Divine Punishment.
He was voiced by Ryotaro Okiayu, who voiced Treize Khushrenada in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Roman Bridger in Scream 3, Hades in Record of Ragnarok, Kokushibou in Demon Slayer and King Gaius in Tales of Xillia.
Biography[]
After N Ma was again destroyed by Isamu's sacrifice, it activated a fail safe in the awakening of the Infershian Pantheon. When Vancuria first found and discovered the secret valley of the Hades Gods, Cyclops threatened her with his rifle, threatening to kill Vancuria for her trespassing. However, Wyvern stopped him and conviall Gods to listen the Vampire Queen. They listened to Vancuria and agreed to help Infershia conquer the Surface World and destroy the Magirangers. Together, the Hades Gods arrived to the Human Realm when the sky turned dark, and Dagon introduced them and told the people of Earth that they were their punishers and have surfaced to tell humans to wallow in despair for the judgment they would execute. When the Magirangers tried to interfere, the Gods easily defeated their MagiLegend Robo and left.
In the thirty sixth episode, Cyclops was seen sitting in the corner of the Valley and saying how boring he was, when Wyvern was introducing the Gods to Nei & Mea. Later they had a ceremony of choosing the Hades God who would attack the Surface and carry on the Divine Punishment. Ifrit was eventually chosen and attacked the Human World, while the other Gods watched. They were later shocked when Ifrit lost and Dagon personally killed him.
Later, in the thirty seventh episode, after Ifrit was killed in the battle with the Rangers, the Gods had a ceremony and Cyclops was chosen to attack the Surface and carry on the Divine Punishment. Cyclops arrived to the Human Realm and attacked Tokyo. He introduced himself to the people and told the city that he was sent to carry out the Divine Punishment. Cyclops then put his bullets in his rifle and shoot the building into the red pieces. When Magirangers attacked him with the MagiKing, they tried to attack him with their finisher, but he dodged their attack and shoot them with his rifle, causing them to split into the humans. Cyclops then shrunk to the human size and offered the five warriors to play a game. They had to run, while he would shoot them, and if one of them would be still alive at the sunset, then they would win. And if he would shot all them, then the people he shot would be erased forever. There was three hours to the sunset and the game began. Cyclops disappeared and siblings prepared to fight. They didn't know that the Hades God was tracking them from another dimension. Cyclops shot Kai in the leg. The MagiRed fell and the Rangers surrounded him and deflected Cyclops's attacks.
Then siblings ran to the garage and didn't realize why the bullets were coming from everywhere. They stopped in one spot and deflected bullets. A large fog appeared and they thought to take the chance. The Rangers saw bullets formed saying "Erase. " Urara suggested disappearing and they did so. Cyclops couldn't find them.
Siblings hid in the warehouse and they tried to heal Kai, who was heavily wounded. However, then the gas came to the warehouse and Tsubasa said the smoke was a trap. Makito decided to handle Cyclops himself and ordered his siblings to run. They obeyed him and Makito went out of the warehouse and transformed. The MagiGreen did a MagiBolt attack and received a new armor and deflected Cyclops's bullets. Makito taunted Cyclops, telling the demon to attack him from every angle. Makito successfully deflected Cyclops's bullets, but Cyclops managed to pierce Makito's armor and shot him, demorphing Makito to his regular Magiranger form. Makito then found Cyclops location and tried to attack the villain by throwing hisMagiStaff at him, but Cyclops shot him, demorphing and vaporizing Makito, which horrified the four siblings.
The four siblings ran away and hid under the bridge. Tsubasa led them and Kai was limping. They tried to use the trees to confuse the monster, but Cyclops vaporized the trees and saw them through the thermo-lense. He then shot and vaporized Houka. The siblings ran, crying for their sister. Later, Cyclops found them and targeted Kai. He shot at Kai, but Urara got in the way and Cyclops vaporized her, shocking Kai and Tsubasa. However, later Kai and Tsubasa came up with a plan of defeating Cyclops. They remembered when Makito threw his MagiStick at the mirror and arrived to the same location where Makito fought the Hades God. Tsubasa activated his MagiPunch and together they deflected the bullets. However, then Tsubasa disappeared and Cyclops couldn't find him. Tsubasa then entered the Cyclops's dimension and knocked off his gun. Tsubasa told Cyclops that they realized how he always shoot them. His attacks were always coming from the places where things deflected light. With Houka, it happened from a puddle, for Urara it was reflected from a van's window. And for Makito, it happened from a glass window. Tsubasa said Makito didn't waste a shot and when he found Cyclops he went into where the bullet came from. Tsubasa activated his legend mode and turned his DialRod into DialRod BowGun. Tsubasa also asked Cyclops if he was the one who had their mother trapped. Cyclops answered he wasn't. Cyclops picked up his gun and tried to shot Tsubasa, but MagiYellow attacked the villain, defeating Cyclops and destroying his mirror dimension.
Tsubasa demorped and met Kai, and their siblings returned. Siblings went out of the house, but Cyclops returned to his giant size and the Rangers summoned their MagiLegend to fight him. The sunset was near and the attacks of the Hades God didn't affect them. However, one shot then flipped around them and hit them in the back. Cyclops then shot the Rangers and they took devastating hits. However, when Cyclops was about to fire the red bullet, Hikaru arrived and stopped him. The Rangers then finished Cyclops off with their Fire Tornado. The other Hades Gods were sad about their comrade's defeat.
199 Hero Great Battle[]
Cyclops was revived and summoned as a member of the Black Cross Army only to be destroyed by Dekaranger Robo, Live Robo, and Turbo Robo.
Super Hero Taisen[]
Cyclops was revived as a member of the Shocker Zangyack Alliance, who eventually fought the army of Kamen Riders and Super Sentai. Along with Nurikabe, Kasha, a Makamou, Hades God Sleipnir, and Hades God Drake, he was defeated by the Magirangers and Kamen Rider Hibiki.
