Hajvarr Iron-Hand was a Nord bandit chief, and lives hidden with his gang in a mountain directly across from the city walls.
He serves as a minor antagonist early on TES V: Skyrim.
Background
Hajvarr originally lived in Whiterun as the "model citizen". He always tried to help out the city in various peacekeeper ways.
Rejection and Retreat
Hajvarr attempted to join The Companions warriors guild, however, after he was deemed too aggressive, his request to join was dropped. This angered him so much that he completely abandoned Whiterun, and fled to the hills.
Forming a gang
Hajvarr contacted his uncle, Ulfr, a blind man, to be his second hand. He agreed, and, through local recruiting, the men set up a large gang, living inside a mountain cave.
