Hal Esposito is a supporting character in the 2006 video game Bully, serving as a supporting antagonist in the third and fifth chapters. He is a student at Bullworth Academy and a member of the Greasers clique.
He was voiced by Leonard Spinelli.
Appearance[]
Hal is an overweight boy with blue eyes, brown hair that is slicked back, and a slightly bent cigarette behind his left ear. He's dressed in a dark blue vest and white shirt under a brown leather jacket that looks to be a couple sizes too small for him. In addition, he had on brown gloves, brown leather boots, and light brown pants. He doesn't have a winter suit on and attends gym class wearing a dark blue shirt and brown shorts. Hal doesn't sprint or stroll slowly like the other obese kids at the school.
Personality[]
Hal's weight is his most distinguishing feature. His large frame appears to not bother him at all, and he makes good use of it in battle, even threatening to sit on his opponents. He often criticizes his opponents according to their weight. In addition to having a crush on Edna, Hal finds Eunice beautiful and is physically drawn to women who are similar in stature. In contrast, he calls Lola a "little twig that is emaciated." He thinks about what people would taste like, but he also likes to eat, especially cheeseburgers. He goes so far as to say that he "masks emotional pain" with food. There are moments when Hal says, "Sometimes at night I look in the mirror, pinch my gut and cry myself to sleep."
Biography[]
Hal has many mission appearances alongside the Greasers. In the first scene of This Is Your School, he is seen hanging out with Johnny and Ricky at the cafeteria lunch case. Aside from a few sporadic cinematic lines in a few Chapter 3 missions, he plays no significant part in the game. In Tagging, he is heard bragging with Lefty about how he'll knock Jimmy's teeth out. He also makes an appearance in Greaser Challenge, when he and Lucky gripe about nothing on TV. Hal is the one who discovers Jimmy, Algie, and Chad attempting to flee New Coventry during Wrong Part of Town. In a cutscene, he says his final words after Jimmy has defeated every Greaser but Johnny Vincent. Jimmy takes Hal by the collar and demands that he declare he is in control, even though Hal wasn't there during the battle. Hal complies. Johnny punches Jimmy out shortly afterward.
During the school-wide disturbance, Hal assists in vandalizing the Girls' Dorm.
