Hallow's Eve

Hallow's Eve is a supporting character in the Marvel Comics universe and Spider-Man comics. She was originally Elizabeth Tyne aka Janine Godbe, the love interest of Ben Reilly.

She was a supporting character in Ben Reilly's series before becoming a villain in Dark Web as Hallows' Eve.

Biography[]

Elizabeth Tyne was born into an abusive household, where she grew up being molested by her father. As she grew older, she snapped and killed her father in self defense, which labeled her as a criminal. So when she went into hiding, she took up the name Janine Godbe, and she would become a waitress in a diner. Janine would later meet Ben Reilly who is Scarlet Spider aka Spider-Man. The two would eventually fall in love during Ben's injuries, and later after Ben fights Kaine learning that he was Scarlet Spider, Janine inspired by Ben Reilly's words turns herself in.

During the events of Spider-Man Beyond, she was transferred to Beyond Corporation, where she had therapy sessions and learns of Ben Reilly becoming their new Spider-Man. The two would later become lovers again during this time, and Janine has some suspicions on Beyond as their help is just too good to be true.

Sure enough Beyond was gaslighting Ben Reilly into losing his memories, so they can use him as their pawn and later dump chemical goo on him which transformed him into Chasm. During Dark Web, when Ben teams up with Pryor to take revenge on the world for their mistreatment, Janine tries to convince Ben to stop his madness or she will leave him, but Pryor transforms her into Hallows' Eve and that she was attacked which convinces her to join Pryor and Ben.

Powers and abilities[]

Endowed with magic by the finger of S'ym, Janine as Hallows' Eve can create masks with different powers and effects. Such masks were described as:

A mask to curse them.
A mask to bleed them.
A mask to splinter bone.
The mask of Frankenstein's Monster can grant her the abilities of Frankenstein's Monster.
An insect mask inspired by Human Fly can grant her the abilities of Human Fly.
The mask of a Werewolf can grant her the appearance and abilities of a Werewolf.
The Model Mask can grant her the appearance of a Hollywood Icon.
The Ghost Mask can grant her the intangibility and invisibility of a ghost.
The Black Cat Mask.
The Police Officer Mask can grant her the appearance of a police officer.
