Find and defeat unique enemies with unique spawn conditions.
~ Text seen under the contract board, explaining how to obtain them.

The Contracts are minor antagonists in Tower Heroes, serving as the main antagonists of the 2023 Halloween event.

They are a group of 16 characters who Alistair sent the players to find for an unknown reason (likely to kill).

Biography[]

During the event, Alistair sent players to find the 16 contracts and "bring them to him". Contracts could be found by meeting unique spawn conditions, such as:

  • Not voting on a difficulty (Conductor)
  • PVP mode sabotages/Jester Of Chaos modifier (Imp)
  • RNG (Pixies, Creepy Guy, Nekomata, Frog Boy, Evoker, Grateful Mimic)
  • Having a certain amount of base HP (Meltdown)
  • Finding and defeating the characters in a weaker form, causing them to return as secret bosses (Squiggles, Pumpkin Twins)
  • Completing a map in the time limit (Cursed Champion)
  • Completing a map with little to no fencing (Clown Zombie)
  • Completing a map at a certain time or using the time swap modifier (Wereworker)
  • Turning on "hide enemies" in lag settings (Crystal Ball)
  • Killing a Lampy (Lights out)
  • Letting a Mimic reach the base (Grateful Mimic)

Trivia[]

  • The contract system is likely a reference to the game Cuphead, where the protagonists must defeat bosses to obtain their soul contracts. Due to the game often referencing and sometimes collaborating with other indie games, this is likely intentional.
  • The Crystal Ball contract could be activated in games with multiple players, leading to it being used by trolls to sabotage the game.
