The Hammer Banki is the minor antagonist of Engine Sentai Go-Onger, appearing in Episode 29 as the primary antagonist.
He is the Savage Land Barbaric Machine Beast at the service of Banki Clan Gaiark and under the command of the Land Pollution Minister Yogostein. He was created by Yogostein after the Land Pollution Minister returned to Hellgaille Palace after his long travel. Hammer Banki was later sent by Yogostein to destroy the Go-Ongers. This Banki Beast was one of the most powerful creations of Yogostein and was infused with his masters's hate. Hammer Banki was compelled to destroy everything even to the point of disobeying his master Yogostein. He was also the first Banki monster to fight the completed Go-Roader.
He was voiced by Riki Kitazawa.
Biography[]
After Yogostein returned to Hellgaille Palace from his mourning solitude and soul searching, a raging Earth Pollution Minister was convinced to rely on his very own power as he went all out into pouring it into the creation of destructive Hammer Banki to extract his revenge on the Go-ongers. Yogostein created the Hammer Banki and sent his newest monster to attack Tokyo and destroy the Go-Ongers and Go-On Wings. Hammer Banki attacked the city and destroyed the nearest district. When Go-Ongers arrived, the heroes found the district in ruins. Then the heroes encountered Yogostein and his monster. Yogostein ordered his minion to attack the Go-Ongers and Hammer Banki did his master's order. Hammer Banki attacked the Go-Ongers and the battle started. The battle was interrupted by the arrival of Go-On Wings and Hiroto fought the Banki monster, but was quickly overpowered by the villain. Hammer Banki repeatedly stroke the Go-On Gold and Hiroto was powerless and overwhelmed. When the villain was about to deliver the third blow, Miu jumped in his way and took the strike on herself. Yogostein forced Hiroto to watch his sister was heavily wounded and left unconscious. Before Hammer Banki could finish her off, the Go-ongers intervened and stopped the monster. Yogostein and his Banki monster retreated back to Hellgaille Palace and Yogostein decided to re-energize Hammer Banki.
From this time Hiroto was enraged and vowed to get revenge on Yogostein for wounding his sister and started training alone. And also Go-Ongers started seeking the way to destroy the Hammer Banki. Once Miu regained consciousness, she and Jum-bowhale revealed to their friends the project Hiroto had been working on, the Go-Roader GT; though without a working Power Soul is prone to attack everything. When Renn decided to solve the Power Soul issue with Miu's aid, Hiroto arrived to the desert to face Yogostein and Hammer Banki. Hiroto arrived to the city and encountered the Land Pollution Minister and his minion. Hiroto fought the Hammer Banki and attempted to use the Go-Roader before the monster would start to attack him. However, the other Go-ongers arrived to hold the Go-Roader off so Hiroto could deactivate the weapon. Yogostein was afraid that his monster would lose and decided to retreat at the moment, but Hammer Banki refused to run off and he chose to Industrial Revolutionise himself to kill the Go-ongers and his former master until Jetras and Bus-on arrived and the both Go-Onger teams formed Engine-Oh G9. Once formed, the Robo fought the Hammer monster and Renn gave Hiroto the completed Tōkon Soul to use on the Go-Roader, enabling it to enlarge and assume Action Mode to weaken Hammer Banki before it and Engine-Oh G9 scrapped the villain. After his monster's defeat, Kitaneidas and Kegalesia comforted their comrade as Yogostein had now realized the downside of his vengeance.
