Hammer Despar is one of the Despar Army's Robot Fighters and an antagonist in episode 1 of Inazuman Flash.
He is voiced by Takeshi Watabe, who later voiced Emperor Aton and Lagorn in the Super Sentai series, as well as Don Horror, God Neros and Emperor Gaohm in the Metal Heroes series. After being rebuilt into Hammer Despar 2, he is voiced by Eiji Maruyama.
Biography[]
Hammer Despar was sent by Führer Geisel to accompany Udespar to take out Inazuman. Hammer Despar appeared as Inazuman and Udespar were fighting, requesting to be the one to take Inazuman out. After Inazuman escaped, Hammer Despar betrayed Udespar to continue pursuing Inazuman. As an injured Goro was found by a kind couple who offered to give him a ride, Hammer Despar tracked down the couple and punched through their car, knocking it off a cliff and killing them. He soon discovered though that Goro was not with them and had already gotten out some time before, forcing him to return to Despar City in shame. After Udespar informed Geisel of what Hammer Despar had done, Geisel knocked off Hammer Despar's head as punishment while angrily chopped off Hammer Despar's arm. In spite of his failure Hammer Despar was given one last chance by Geisel to defeat Inazuman, only for Inazuman to destroy him.
A second Hammer Despar was later built. It came across Red Queen, an assassin whom Geisel had hired to kill Goro Watari, making a finger gun at a portrait of Fuhrer Geisel. Taking offense, Hammer Despar assaulted her and swung his hammer and her hand hurting her fingers. Because of this, when Red Queen was sent out later to snipe Goro from afar, she was unable to hold her sniper rifle properly and missed. Because of this, Geisel had Hammer Despar scrapped, planning to use his parts to make an even stronger cyborg, Hammer Despar 2.
Geisel selected five candidates from within his army and had them all fight each other to determine which was the most worthy. After a singular candidate emerged, Geisel christened him "Hammer Despar 2" and sent him to be converted into a Robot Fighter. Hammer Despar 2 was then sent out to assassinate both Goro and Red Queen, whose treachery Geisel had known of and whom he had only been using. Red Queen was fatally wounded by Despar Soldiers, but with her final breath managed to fire her sniper rifle and shoot off Geisel's ear, leading him and Sadespar to retreat while Hammer Despar 2 took care of Goro, who transformed into Sanagiman and then Inazuman to do battle. Hammer Despar 2 was defeated by a lightning kick from Inazuman, which sent him flying into the air before causing him to explode.
