The Hanging Bell Org is the minor antagonist of Hyakijuu Sentai Gaoranger, appearing in the Episode 4 as the main antagonist, and in Episodes 42 and 43 as an overarching antagonist.
He is the bell-themed Baron Org, at the service of Ogre Tribe Org and under the command of Shuten, Yabaiba and TsueTsue. He terrorized Laiwen Shrine and attacked people who came close to the shrine. This action led to his confrontation with Gaorangers.
He was voiced by Ryōichi Tanaka.
Biography[]
He was born when an Org Spirit possesses a temple bell at the Laiwen Shrine. This Org monster terrorized the Shrine and attacked the people who came far too close to the shrine. When Kai and Soutarou investigated some strange happenings at a shrine, GaoBlue was injured. Later, a mysterious flux attracted both the Gao and the Orgs to the same shrine. Shrine Bell Org then captured Kai inside of a giant bell.
Kai remained trapped until Sotaro freed his friend. Later, when Gaorangers arrived to help their friends, the heroes were attacked by the Org leaders Shuten, Yabaiba and TsueTsue. While Shuten, Yabaiba and Tsuetsue fought Kakeru, Sae, and Gaku, Sotaro fought the Bell Org and managed to break his spell in order to free Kai. Sotaro tackled Shrine Bell Org in order to break his dark magic spell. GaoBlack broke the bell open before Kai ran out of air. Kai and Soutarou teamed up to subdue the enemy. The other Gaorangers arrived and together the five heroes reconvened to defeat Shrine Bell Org with the Hundred Beast Sword. Tsuetsue quickly revived the monster as a giant.
Hanging Bell Org took down GaoKing with several blasts of his sonic waves but they kicked him back and used the Fin Blade to destroy his hammer. He then attempted to trap GaoKing in his bell, but was trapped instead when they kicked it over the top of him and destroyed by the Animal Heart.
In the Episodes 42 and 43, Hanging Bell Org was briefly summoned as an illusion by Duke Org DoroDoro when he trapped the Rangers in another dimension. Hanging Bell Org was among the spirits of the defeated Org monsters. However, with Tetomu's help, GaoLion evoked the formation of GaoKentaurus who destroys DoroDoro to bring the team back to the real world.
