Hank Strode is the main antagonist of the 2017 action-thriller film Acts of Vengeance.
He was played by Karl Urban who also played Billy Butcher in the TV serie The Boys, Black Hat in Priest, Skurge in Thor Ragnaork and Julius Caesar in Xena: Warrior Princess, and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.
He is a Metropolitan police officer that is initially shown to be working on the case regarding the death of Frank Valera's wife and daughter. However as Frank starts to figure out the truth regarding his family's death, he discovers that Hank was the one who took their lives in his own hands. The reason for this is because Frank defended the suspect who presumably murdered his 12 year old daughter. Out of revenge, he wanted Frank to suffer the same pain he went through back then. Frank and Hank clash in a final battle which ultimately ends with Frank rendering Hank unconscious. In the end, he was put under trial and convicted for his crime.
Hank is initially an honorable police officer, and heavily supportive of Frank's recent loss. However as the plot progresses, his true colours are revealed when it is revealed that he is the one who murdered Frank's family for revenge against him letting his daughter's murder suspect leaving court under a technicality.
