Hannah Washington is the main antagonist of Supermassive Games' Until Dawn, although she never showed signs of villainy prior to becoming a Wendigo.
She was voiced and motion captured by Ella Lentini.
Biography[]
Hannah is first seen in the prologue where her friends played a prank on her and caused her to run into the woods, visibly upset. Her twin sister, Beth, found her and the two were chased to a cliff by the Makkapitew. The two fell off the cliff and into the mines below, where they were presumed dead and missing.
A year later, her friends and brother Josh arrived back at the lodge for a getaway in memory of his sisters. Hannah, already a Wendigo due to cannibalizing Beth's dead body, began stalking Jessica and Mike. She then kidnapped and dragged Jess to the mineshaft, where she will kill Jess if Mike did not reach her in time. Nevertheless, Jess falls down an elevator shaft and Hannah moves on.
Later, she begins stalking Matt and Emily, causing the fire tower they are on to collapse into the mines by cutting its support cables. Once in the mines, she can kill Matt by having him impaled through the jaw on a hook. However, if Matt had the flare gun and used it against her, he will escape death. She will then go after Emily, chasing her through the mines, possibly gouging her eyes out or biting her on the shoulder.
As the night progresses, she will decapitate the Stranger and possibly decapitate Chris if he does not make it back to the lodge in time. In the mines, she will mimic Jessica's voice to lure Ashley (and is still alive, Chris) to a trapdoor. If they open it, she will kill them and take their bodies. After Mike and Sam find her lair, they will find the Stranger's head and body, along with the bodies and heads of their friends if they were killed earlier, collected as trophies. As Sam climbs up through a hole in the ceiling, Hannah will come after Mike and Josh. Mike will hide and sneak away while Hannah will kill Josh if he does not recognize her in time or if he does recognize her, she will recognize him in turn and take him back to her lair alive.
During the final chapter in the game, she will pursue Matt and Jessica if they are still alive, and possibly kill them. Afterwards, she will encounter the rest of the remaining survivors in the lodge and fight the other Wendigos. Mike and Sam can then work together to explode the lodge by using the gas emananting from the fireplace, breaking a light bulb and flipping the light switch next to the exit door. Hannah can possibly directly kill Sam, Ashley and Emily and indirectly kill Mike. Either way, Sam or Mike will then light the lodge on fire, killing Hannah and the Wendigos. After the fire house is destroyed, the spirit of Makkapitew escapes looking for a new person to possess.
