Hanzo is a minor antagonist in the anime/manga series Kinnikuman.
He is a member of No Respect, the main antagonistic force of the Burning Inner Strength Challenge arc.
Biography[]
Past[]
Hanzo was a Chojin born on planet Iga. When he was a baby, his house caught on fire and a piece of burning wood landed on his face as he slept, scaring his face with a burn. This caused Hanzo to don a mask and be mocked throughout his childhood for his deformed face.
As he grew up, he would become more violent often going out at night to fight other ninjas before cutting their face off with a sword. Hanzo would meet Fork the Giant and Bone Cold, the three agreeing that they should rule the planet Kinniku and forming No Respect.
No Respect would set their sights on taking over planet Kinniku, killing over 650 guards. While this was happening, Hanzo would kill and rip the face off of Kokumo, the pupil of The Ninja who would beat Hanzo down and arrest him.
Kinnikuman Nisei[]
Hanzo and the rest of No Respect would be released from their cells by Kinnikuman under the condition that they would fight his son Mantaro Kinniku. If he beat them, they would be placed back under arrest but if they won, by any means they saw fit, they would be freed from their prison sentence and pardoned for all of their crimes.
Hanzo would be sent to Kyoto. Once Fork the Giant was defeated, Hanzo would summon a portal to call Mantaro to his side in Kyoto. After a day of waiting, Hanzo would attack Mantaro despite his injuries, only to be stopped by The Ninja who wanted revenge for Hanzo killing Kokumo. Hanzo would quickly rush over to the designated ring so he could get his restraints off so he could fight The Ninja.
The Ninja would fight the best he could, using all of his abilities and techniques to defeat Hanzo, however, Hanzo would use his Tatami Puppet with Kokumo's face to psychologically manipulate him before beating him down and cutting off his face, killing him.
After waiting for twenty minutes, Hanzo would battle against Mantaro. Hanzo would allow himself to take minor damage so he could learn Mantaro's strategy. When Hanzo goes full on the offensive, he weakens Mantaro's morale until he surrenders, however, Hanzo wants to kill Mantaro so he continues attacking him. When Mantaro got his courage back and tried to use his Muscle Millenium, it failed because Hanzo had already cut the ropes of the ring.
When Mantaro had finally given up and begged for his life, Hanzo and his Tatami Puppet tried to kill him, however, Mantaro's fighting instinct allowed him to survive Hanzo's attacks, break Hanzo's Ghastly Arm Blade and make Hanzo scared to fight against Mantaro. Eventually, Hanzo would throw Mantaro out of the ring and presumably to his death, however, when Hanzo went to get Mantaro's lantern, it ignited suddenly, showing to everyone that Mantaro was alive and willing to fight, this also disturbed Hanzo due to his fear of fire from the burn he received as a child.
When all the fires were lit due to the setting Sun, Hanzo panicked so much that Mantaro was able to counter Hanzo's moves and use a special version of the Muscle Millenium where he slams Hanzo into the ground, finishing the fight and breaking Hanzo's mask.
When Hanzo was about to fall to his death, he would be saved by Mantaro and would wrap The Ninja's bandana around his face to cover it. Hanzo would thank Mantaro before putting on his handcuffs and being taken to jail.
Once the Demon Seed launched their attack, Hanzo was released and worked alongside Kevin Mask, Ilioukhine, Barrierfreeman and Scarface. Hanzo would fight against Gepparland, defeating him to save a piece of Meat's body, however, Akuma Shogun would use Gepparland's General Stone to launch a sharp rock at both Hanzo and Gepparland, killing them both. Once Akuma Shogun was defeated, the Diamond Dust of Rebirth would revive Hanzo.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Chojin Physiology: As a Chojin, Hanzo has superhuman strength, speed and durability. Other abilities that Chojin have that Hanzo has is the ability to grow to be as large as a building and the ability to fly without wings or thrusters, even in the vacuum of space.
- Ghastly Arm Blade: Whenever Hanzo defeats an opponent, he places his arm into the sheath on his back, transforming his arm into a blade which he uses to cut off his opponent's face.
- Tatami Puppet: Hanzo is able to make a puppet made of a wrestling ring mat to fight his opponent. Hanzo can control this puppet, however, any damage dealt to it will be dealt to Hanzo. Hanzo can throw a face onto the Tatami Puppet, giving the Tatami Puppet the voice that the face belonged to, allowing Hanzo to psychologically manipulate his opponent.
- Arm Lengthening Technique: By dislocating the bones in his arms, Hanzo is able to increase the length of his arms dramatically.
- Horseshoe Crab Change: Hanzo is able to retract his body into his armor before turning his body completely into a horseshoe crab.
