Hanzu is a major antagonist in The Witch Trials in the 2021 Roblox horror game The Mimic.

Appearance

Hanzu appears to be a long, centipede-like creature with long dark hair and a head with a large open mouth that has a black skull inside of it. She crawls via her long black arms, each with a set of five sharp fingernails. Her torso and below resembles a snake's/centipede's and has tiny, red eyes. Hanzu’s red eyes, which glow very brightly. The glow can help players locate her.

Biography

Early life

Unknown, but it is confirmed she was the grandmother of Kazeko Masashige, and has links to Tokito. In 1671, she was cursed by Kintoru as part of the later vendetta against Kusunoki Masashige, Hanzu's ancestor, for sealing her; she was 63 when she was cursed. From than on, she became a puppet of Kintoru.

The Witch Trials

Hanzu first appears in The Mimic's prequel gamemode- The Witch Trials. She and Kazeko hunt down Keiko in the forest as she finds and sacrifices the blades. Keiko escapes this encounter and continues into the final trial. Hanzu is not seen again after this though presumably after Kintoru is killed, Hanzu and the rest of her family were freed from the curse and ascend to the afterlife.

• The name Hanzu (判図) means "audacious judgement".
• She is the presumed cousin of Hirosa and the presumed niece of Kusonoki.
• She is confirmed to be a part of the Masashige bloodline.
• She is confirmed to be 63 years old, born in 1608 and cursed in 1671.
• She is confirmed to no longer be a fleshbag in the new Control's Book lore.
