Hard Man (or Hādoman in the Japanese version) is one of the 8 Robot Masters and one of the main antagonists of the NES videogame Mega Man 3 as well as one of the additional 4 bosses in the Gameboy game Mega Man II. He was a worker robot created by Dr. Light to assist with the creation of Gamma, however, he was stolen and reprogrammed by Dr. Wily to become one of his Robot Masters. Hard Man was constructed with ceratanium, thus being very tanky and strong. His special weapon is the Hard Knuckle, which has him fire off a hand as a missile.
After infiltrating Hard Man's base of operations, Mega Man will eventually encounter the former. If the player had previously defeated Magnet Man, Mega Man would have an advantage against Hard Man due to the fact that Magnet Man's Magnet Missile is Hard Man's weakness. Once he's defeated Hard Man, Mega Man will obtain Hard Man's Hard Knuckle.
Rematch[]
At Dr. Wily's castle, the player will have rematches against all 8 of the Robot Masters including Hard Man. This time, the player already has the Hard Knuckle, which is Hard Man's weakness this time (despite it being his own weapon. After Hard Man is defeated for the second time, he will not appear for the rest of the game.

Mega Man II (Game Boy)[]
Hard Man returns in this title as well as one of the 4 additional bosses that Mega Man must defeat in order to reach Dr. Wily. He behaves just like he does in Mega Man 3. After being defeated in this installment, Hard Man does not make another boss appearance in any more canonical titles, presumably being defeated for good.

Trivia[]
According to Hard Man's CD data from Megaman & Bass, Hard Man dislikes swimming. This is possibly because he is so heavy that he simply sinks every time he tries to swim
Hard Man is composed of a type of metal from the Mega Man universe known as Ceratanium, which is also what Cut Man's Rolling Cutter and Metal Man's Metal Blade are made of.
