Harisphinx is a captain of the Akuma Clan and the main antagonist of episode 30 of Akumaizer 3.

He is voiced by Shunji Yamada, who previously voiced Iron Mask in the same series and also voiced Jamaican Daninghan in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.

Biography

Harisphinx sought to capture Nem, a girl from ancient Egypt who had been sealed in a sarcophagus. However, Nem managed to escape and wandered out in public, leading Harisphinx to send his men after her. The Akumaizer 3 caught sight of Harisphinx's forces and Xavitan disguised himself as an Aguma to infiltrate a platoon of Aguma in order to figure out Harisphinx's plan. However, Harisphinx deduced that Xavitan had infiltrated his forces and ordered the commanding officer of the platoon to line his men up so they could be inspected. Harisphinx quickly figured out which was Xavitan and threw a needle at him, prompting Xavitan to catch it and lift his disguise. The Aguma then battled Xavitan while Harisphinx left the scene to look for Nem.

However, the Akumaizer 3 managed to find Nem first and drive away Harisphinx before he could capture her. They then brought her to the Shima residence to safeguard her. Ippei approached Gensaku Akita to get him to do a report on Nem in order to find who her parents were, but Harisphinx hypnotized both of them. Harisphinx then used his mystery power to hypnotize Gabra into following his commands and made him bring him Nem. Xavitan and Evil attempted to stop Harisphinx from kidnapping Nem, but Harisphinx made Gabra attack them while he escaped with her. He then brought Nem to his base to seal her so she could never reveal the secret behind his mystery power, only to find he didn't have the timer needed to do so.

The Akumaizer 3 were then able to stage a trap for Harisphinx by having Gabra give him a fake timer in order to locate his base. Harisphinx tossed the timer to one of his Aguma and sent him to use it on Nem (not knowing it was a fake) while he and his other men did battle against the Akumaizer 3. Upon reaching Nem and placing the timer on her, the hapless Aguma discovered it wasn't the timer at all, but a rock with the Akumaizer 3's logo on it that they had disguised using magic. Nem then awoke and spoke the truth about Harisphinx's mystery power, reverting the mystery spell he had placed on Gabra. The Akumaizer 3 then joined together to battle Harisphinx and used their Magic Circle Attack on him, destroying him.
