Harlan: Bitch, I shoulda gone ahead and f-cked her!
Louise: What did you say?
Harlan: I said
Suck. My. C-ck.'
~ Harlan's last conversation.

Harlan Puckett is the overarching antagonist of the classic 1991 film Thelma & Louise.

He was portrayed by Timothy Carhart, who also portrayed Ellis DeWald in Beverly Hills Cop III.

Biography[]

Harlan Puckett was a customer at the Silver Bullet bar. It is implied by Lena the waitress that he often flirts with women, and rapes them. At some point before the film, he got married.

Meeting two women named Thelma and Louise in a bar one night, he got Thelma drunk then lured her out to the parking lot where he tried to seduce her. Harlan got increasingly aggressive as Thelma attempted to resist going so far as to slap her. When she slapped him back Harlan went insane with fury and ferociously assaulted her by hitting her in the face over and over whilst hypocritically yelling that she should never hit back. He then attempted to violently rape Thelma, cursing her and responding to her begs for him to stop by loudly telling her to shut up. Thelma was saved by Louise who threatened Harlan with a gun. Even though Harlan let Thelma go he regretted doing so right after and openly insulted and cursed both women, proclaiming how he should have gone ahead with the rape. This resulted in Louise shooting him dead.

This triggers a national chase for the two women, who then took their own lives to avoid prison.
