Harrison "Mad Dog" Malone is a Super Mutant and an antagonist in Fallout 76.

Biography

Not much is known about Mad Dog other than having been a gang leader and criminal before the Great War/World War III. After being exposed to the Forced Evolutionary Virus and turned into a Super Mutant, he occasionally escapes from Eastern Regional Penitentiary to hide out in the Grafton Dam with his gang of Super Mutants who would protect him to the death to keep him from being taken back to the prison by the A.I. Warden's Mister Gutsy Prison Marshals.

Mad Dog is involved in two event quests that pop up from time to time in the game. "Jail Break" regards stopping Mad Dog's Super Mutants from busting him out of the prison, while "Manhunt" involves heading to the Grafton Dam to capture Mad Dog so he can be taken back to be incarcerated. Though he's marked as a hostile enemy due to being a Super Mutant, getting his health down to 1 HP will result in him collapsing to one knee in defeat before one of the Mister Gutsy Prison Marshals arrive to take him back to Eastern Regional.

Trivia

  • Mad Dog is the only Super Mutant in the series that cannot be killed at any point in the game, even after completing both of the quests affiliated with him.
