Stop hand

You must make haste... ooh, let's call that one Haste!
~ The Curious Light naming Haste.

Haste is one of the antagonists in the Roblox horror-game Doors, specifically appearing as the main antagonist of "The Backdoor" sub-floor. It is extremely fast and will kill any human it sees on sight. It is very similar to both Rush and Ambush, however, it is much louder and only appears when the players run out of time.

Appearance[]

Haste takes on the appearance of a red and orange skull with two huge, pitch black eyes, a missing nose, and a gaping, eerie smile. It also has a slightly noticeable glitch and distortion affect applied to it, similar to entities such as A-90 or Rush. Additionally, it also appears to produce a bright, orange-ish red light, which strangely appears to immediately vanish rather than slowly becoming more dim and faint as the light travels further from it's source, Haste is completely visible even through walls, horrifying its target as is makes its way towards them

Biography[]

Toothpaste is an entity that can spawn as early as Room -50, or as late as Room -1. Haste will only make it's appearance when the floor timer reaches 0 minutes and 0 seconds. Then, a vignette will appear on the player's screen, and their vision will become extremely saturated and tinted red. Additionally, they will hear Haste's low howling in the distance. Haste will appear in the distance, and approach quickly. To prevent or stop these effects, the players can flip a timer lever, adding 30 to 60 seconds to the timer. If Haste was already present, his effects will stop and he will immediately vanish as if he never was there. If Haste catches a player, they will be forced to stare at Haste, and they will see the text "NO TIME LEFT" on their screen in red. They will hear the death sound effect playing repeatedly for around a second and a half that sounds similar to a machine gun, before they immediately die. Players cannot revive if everyone has been wiped out by Haste. Haste will also pull players out of their hiding spots if they attempt to hide from Haste.

Trivia[]

  • Haste bears a great resemblance to Specimen 9 from Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion, with both being red in color, disembodied heads, both having repeatedly displayed mantras (being "TO TAKE THE DEAD" and "NO TIME LEFT" for Specimen 9 and Haste respectively), both immediately kill players, and whether or not either one can appear is based on time.
  • Haste is a client-sided entity, similarly to A-90.
  • If a player manages to flip a timer lever while in Haste's jump scare, they will survive and can resume as normal.
