Hatchet, Crankcase and Crowbar are sent by Megatron to retrieve Sentinel Prime. After Sam Witwicky found out about the Decepticon's plans from veteran cosmonauts, he immediately warned the Autobots & formed a convoy to ensure Sentinel's safety & return to Autobot headquarters. Hatchet, alongside Crowbar and Crankcase, pursued them while disguised as a government emergency van. After Crowbar reveals himself after he threw former Agent Simmons off his limousine, Crankcase & Hatchet transformed & attacked the Autobot convoy to get Sentinel, only to fail as Bumblebee & Dino/Mirage shot Hatchet on the highway and threw his remains on top of a car in the highway, killing him.
Trivia[]
- While he didn't make a direct appearance in the video games much like his other allies, Hatchet's character model was used for several watch dog characters called Assaulters.
- The Assaulter were watch dogs mechs and was Dino/Mirage's archenemies, as mentioned he fought several of them in the past.
- They have an ability where they howl and create a pulse wave the temporarily shuts down his cloaking ability.
- Hatchet, Crowbar were the only members of the dreads to not have deluxe action figures during the time of movie's release, until the late 2010s and mid 2020s.
- Hatchet's death was actually a reused scene from the Island which was also directed by Michael Bay, as both this and that film had identical highway scenes.
