Sheik Hazim Haggai is a major antagonist in Chris Heimerdinger's 2001 novel Warriors of Cumorah. He is a Moslem sheik who is assisting Todd Finlay.

Hazim first appears when Rebecca Plimpton, Joshua Plimpton, and Mary Symeon come to the year 1841 A. D. He threatens to kill them for drinking from a spring that is part of Sheik al-Farabi's property. Mary tries to bribe him with twenty-first century artifacts, but Hazim isn't swayed. He starts climbing down to shoot them, but is stopped when Brother Nicholas comes along. Brother Nicholas talks Hazim out of killing Rebecca, Joshua, and Mary and takes them along with him to Jerusalem. Along the way, Joshua shares a five-dollar bill and a stick of gum with Hazim.
At Brother Nicholas' monastery, Todd Finlay breaks into Mary's Joshua's, and Rebecca's sleeping quarters and attempts to kidnap Rebecca. The trio is able to escape, but they accidentally run into Hazim's camp. Hazim demands Rebecca to give him her seerstone, to which she refuses. A struggle breaks out in which Hazim is tripped while Rebecca, Joshua, and Mary flee. Brother Nicholas then comes and prevents Hazim from following them.
Later, Hazim witnesses the Apostle Orson Hyde giving a prayer at another sacred spring. He goes to arrest the Apostle, but Rebecca, Joshua, and Mary intervene. Rebecca surrenders herself and her seerstone to Hazim in exchange for Orson Hyde's freedom. Hazim accepts her offer and brings her to Todd Finlay. Here, it is revealed that Todd had came to this century before Rebecca, Joshua, and Mary did. Hazim had found Todd in the ruins of Petra and threatened to kill him, but Todd had earned his respect by providing him with modern tools and appliances.
Todd, Hazim, and their band of Moslems bring Rebecca toward Petra. On the way, Rebecca sneaks off and hides in a fox hole. Todd, furious, murders the person who had been in charge of watching her and continues on with Hazim and his entourage. Later, at Petra, they attack Rebecca, Joshua, Mary, Brother Nicholas, and his followers in an attempt to capture Rebecca again. Hazim corners Rebecca and tries to take her, but he is killed by Shika.
