Headhunter is one of the three secondary antagonists (alongside Comedy and Tragedy) of the 2019 indie action-platformer video game Katana Zero.
Similar with Zero and Fifteen, she was taken and trained by New Mecca government into being a super soldier under NULL project, being turned into a NULL soldier, an effective killing machine with the godlike powers granted by the Chronos drugs, serving in the Cromag War. Seven years after the war, Headhunter becomes the personal assassin of Al-Qasim in exchange for Chronos drugs, also seeks revenge against the New Mecca government and everyone who involves to the projects of NULL and Chronos.

Appearance[]
The Headhunter is a fair-skinned lady of average height, about Zero's height. She has a beret on, is dressed in her army uniform from New Mecca, and has a mask or visor over her face. She wears her dark hair in a ponytail.
Personality[]
Her scant conversation leaves much about her personality unclear, although the Headhunter shared Fifteen's intense desire for vengeance against those connected to the NULL project. But as the years went on, she finally made the decision to prioritize her needs over those of the Chronos inventors, refusing to help Fifteen due to her Chronos withdrawal as well as the length of their conflict. She gives Zero the option to give up during their fight with her, even if she doesn't want to speak with him. She also thinks NULL citizens should utilize their powers to assume positions of authority, like gods, rather than being slaves to their Chronos addiction. She occasionally displays a strong sense of regret for having to confront Zero. She begs Zero fervently to eliminate everyone connected to the NULL Project when he finally kills her.
Biography[]
A NULL soldier, the Headhunter fought in the Cromag War. Her rank as a NULL is unclear, but she has precognition skills comparable to Zero thanks to her treatment with Chronos, which she utilizes to prepare her assaults in combat. But given that her view of the future appears to be more constrained than Zero's, it is most probable that she is not a Gamma NULL.
Following the Cromag War, Headhunter turned to a career in assassination, working for Omar Al-Qasim, one of the founders of NULL. In return for Chronos, Al-Qasim had her destroy targets, and it appeared that he was trying to discover a means to heal Headhunter—or at least he was pretending to.
Prior to Zero interjecting, she may be seen interacting with Fifteen in the Chinatown mission, when she initially makes an appearance. As usual, Zero uses his precognition to plan out the battle and envisions himself killing her with a solid blow. In reality, she deflects the strike with a glancing blow and expresses amazement at having predicted that she would kill Zero and prevail. She runs away, realizing Zero is a NULL just like her.
At the conclusion of the Bunker Mission, she runs across Zero once more. She informs him that there isn't enough Chronos to support all of the NULL subjects that are out there, and she says she would want to sip some of Zero's blood to last a few more days. She also laments the fact that even if they possess godly abilities, they will still have to battle like two addicts over who got the bigger hit. Zero eventually kills her by stabbing her with a battle knife into the explosives on her body. She begs Zero to get retribution on those who mistreated them as she passes away. Subsequently, Zero chops off her skull and uses it to trigger the retinal scan and unlock the vault.
Powers and Abilities[]
Headhunter is equipped with four weapons: a combat knife, a tiny grenade launcher, a machine gun, and a high powered laser rifle. Her laser gun requires a brief charge before it fires, and if the player comes into touch with the beam, they quickly catch fire. Of all the guns in the game, her machine gun has the greatest fire rate. It fires normal bullets, which can be reflected. Her grenade launcher launches circular grenades that, like Mr. Kissyface's grenades, detonate after a brief duration. She launches three grenades in two different directions: one volley toward the player and one scattered around them. The latter stuns and knocks the player back, making it very lethal. Concussion grenades are the last item Headhunter carries, and she utilizes them to get away anytime she gets struck.
Being a NULL soldier, Headhunter possesses a degree of precognition comparable to that of Zero and Fifteen, however it may be somewhat more restricted because she may be a lower-ranked NULL and experiences Chronos withdrawals.
Though she can use a dash similar to Fifteen's, Headhunter's style of fighting is less aggressive than Zero's and Fifteen's, mostly concentrating on ranged combat. However, her dash's range is more constrained than Fifteen's. Every time she takes a blow, she utilizes her concussion grenades to flee. In a desperate attempt to escape, she will use her explosive jacket to try to murder the player as well as herself after the third hit.
