~ Barron trying to manipulate Amanda Rollins. |
Heath Barron is the main antagonist of the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Plastic". He is a charismatic plastic surgeon who manipulates his long-term girlfriend (and victim) Sadie Parker into supplying him with teenage girls and young women to drug and rape.
He was portrayed by Mark Feuerstein who also played Jacob Anton Ness in Prison Break.
Early life[]
As a young man in medical school, Barron fell in love with a classmate named Louise Halpern, but she rejected his advances because she was already dating someone. Finding women his own age too intimidating, he began seducing teenage girls and young women who were more likely to give in to his sexual demands, which included threesomes.
Barron eventually built a thriving plastic surgery practice in New York City, which he used to attract women whom he would perform surgery on to make them into his fantasy of perfect female beauty. One such woman, Moira Ross, brought him a 14-year-old girl named Cecilia "Cici" Taylor, and they made her their sexual plaything, have threesomes with her whether she wanted to or not. Barron eventually tired of Moira, however, and killed her, hiding her body in the wall of a house he was renting.
Over the next few years, he brainwashed Cici into running away from her parents, changing her name to Sadie Parker, and fulfilling all of his increasingly violent sexual demands. He also performed extensive plastic surgery on her, until she was unrecognizable to her own family. Together, they regularly threw lavish sex parties, during which he would direct her to seduce and drug women he wanted for himself so he could rape them while she watched. They also had several consensual threesomes that he would record.
"Plastic"[]
During one of their sex parties, Barron and Parker drugged and raped Ava Parcell, one of their guests. When Ava regained consciousness and realized what had happened, she fled Barron's house and reported him and Parker to the NYPD's Special Victims Unit as having raped her. SVU Detectives Amanda Rollins and Dominick Carisi Jr. question Barron and Parker, who both claim that they had consensual sex with Parcell. Rollins and Carisi keep investigating, however, and find a recording Barron had made of himself and Parker raping Pacell, and arrest both of them.
Soon afterward, however, Barron and Parker both post bail after their arraignment, and go on a talk show proclaiming their innocence and accusing Parcell of lying for attention. Parcell's reputation is badly damaged, and she eventually drops the charges to make the bad press go away. The SVU detectives question other women that Barron and Parcell had victimized, but they refuse to press charges, fearing that their reputations will be ruined, as well.
Luckily, Carisi finds an encrypted video on Barron's laptop of him having sex with an underage girl, allowing him and Detective Fin Tutuola to arrest him. Rollins interrogates Barron, who claims that he merely helps women make their fantasies real, and tries, unsuccessfully, to undermine Rollins by picking on her insecurity about her body after having recently given birth. Meanwhile, Tutuola follows a lead to Barron's old rental house, where he finds Ross' corpse.
Captain Olivia Benson interrogates Parker, and tells her that Barron is a murderer as well as a rapist. She also realizes that Parker and Cici are one and the same, and tells her that Barron cares only about his own pleasure, and manipulated her into helping him rape women. Horrified and filled with remorse, Parker tells Benson about Barron's crimes, allowing Benson to charge Barron with rape and murder. Barron is sentenced to life in prison, while Parker is reunited with her father, and given a relatively light prison sentence because she had been victimized and brainwashed by Barron.
Trivia[]
- Barron is primarily inspired by Grant Robicheaux, a plastic surgeon and previous reality show guest tried along with his girlfriend, Cerissa Riley (the inspiration for Parker), for the drug-induced rapes of multiple women.
