Heckyl is a minor antagonist in Power Rangers Dino Charge, a major antagonist in Power Rangers Dino Super Charge until his redemption and a supporting character in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.
He is a humanoid alien who was considered, along with Snide, to be one of the most dangerous outlaws ever captured by the bounty hunter Sledge. After his ship crashed, Heckyl and Snide made a deal with him to destroy the Dino Power Rangers, but after Lord Arcanon captures him, he remembers his past that leads him to join the rangers and eventually become one himself.
He was played by Ryan Carter.
Bioghraphy[]
History[]
Millions of years ago, Heckyl loved on the Planet Sentai-6. Not much else is known about his life until Lord Arcanon invaded the planet to steal the Dark Energem. Heckyl tried to protect Arcanon from getting it, but Arcanon blasted him while he was running. After he fell, the Dark Energem came out of its containment box. When Heckyl tried to get a hold of it, the energem corrupted him, creating his evil alter-ego Snide. Arcanon arrived and retrieved the Energem from him, mocking him that he won't remember anything. Arcanon then obliterated the entire planet if not all of its residents.
After barely escaping their homeworld's destruction, Heckly & Snide became dangerous outlaws, laying waste to and destroyed countless galaxies until they were captued the ruthless bounty hunter Sledge and confinded in soitary confiment.
Dino Charge[]
When Sledge learns the Power Rangers were looking for someone to bond with the purple Energem, he decides to use Heckly, due to his human form, to steal all Energems. After being freed after centuries, Heckyl kills two Spikeballs who had been guarding his Chambers and then threatens to destroy the entire ship unless he accepts the deal of a partnership in ruling the universe.
Making his way to earth, Heckyl saves Kendall Morgan, the Ranger's and lead scientist, who is about to give him the Purople Energem until a rogue monster called Wish Star intervenes and attacks them, forcing him to hide to prevent his iddenty from being revealed. After Fury swipes the energem, Sledge locks him up again.
After Tyler Navaro, The Red Ranger, causes Sledge's ship to crash, Sledge asks Heckly to takeover as leader to destroy the Power Rangers while he goes to away planting Greenzilla eggs around the planet. In exchange, Heckyl gets part of the universe to rule.
Super Dino Charge[]
Heckyl & Snide temporarily become co-leaders of the remaining outlaws and forces them to serve them. Heckyl uses his human form to get a job at the Aber Beach Restraunt to spy on the Rangers to steal the energems.
For the first 13 episodes, Heckly plans multiple attacks on the Power Rangers in an attempt to steal thier energems, such:
- Having Ice Age freeze the Rangers in a ambush.
- Using Sting Rage's amnesia stings to make the Rangers forget who they are.
- Having Nightmare invade the Rangers' dreams in an attempt to tire them out and steal the energems,
- Ordering Singe to kidnap Chase Randall, the Black Ranger's boyfriend, Kaylee.
- Authorizing Singe to put a computer virus in the Rangers' weapons, causing the Tex Spirit to take over Tyler's mind.
- Allowing Singe to use Zotak rings in order to neutralize the Energems and allow them to take them.
- Sending Game Face to have the Vinix in strong shape to beat the Rangers.
- Using SpellDigger to create curse coins that causes people to turn greed and spreading throughout Amber Beach.
- Using the Meagnma Beam on Half-Bake in one more attempt to kill the Rangers.
- Ordering Hookbeard to zap the Titano Zord to destruction.
- Using Poisoandra's makeup to switch bodies with a girl named Britteny Baines and Badonna to make the Rangers fall over over into destroying each other, telling Badonna to prove her loyalty by destroying her new boyfriend.
- Ordering Poisodandra, Gofar, and Fury to steal the energems when they are hit a with a sum beam that makes them want to go on vaccation.
- Using a zord-like monster Fortress, designed to counterattack every zord attack, to kill the Rangers and destroy the Zords.
After beating defeated by the Rangers, Heckly is usuruped by Lord Arcanon, but soon convinces Poisandra to break him out of prison in exchange for telling her that Sledge survived, angrily promising that he will get revenge.
Afterwards, Snide convinces Arcanon to use the Rangers Split Emitters to seperate himself and Heckyl apart. He managed to escape his cell and saw Sledge and Snide destroy Arcanon and the rest of his allies. Later, when Rangers attempt to launch a sneak-attack on Sledge's ship, Sledge sends Badussa who petrifes seven of them. Heckyl saves the three and helps them destroy Badussa's amulet and frees the other petrified Rangers, butt not before warning them to get of earth fast. The next day, he warns the Rangers that Sledge has been putting Greenzilla eggs all over the world and refuses to help, going around the world to have fun. However, after he saved a little girl and brought her to her mother, he ultimately decided to help the Rangers defeat Sledge, even helping them destroy Snide and the Dark Energem.
In the end after defeating Sledge once and for all, Keeper allows him to become the Keeper of the Dark Energem, setting him and Zenowing to stop the destruction of Sentai 6.
Power Rangers Cosmic Fury[]
Sometime later, Hecky bonds with the Dark Energem and the Spinosaurus. Learning about Lord Zedd's invasion of earth in the prime universe, he joins up with the Dino Fury Rangers able, spying on the enemy by getting the daughter of Bajillia Naire's daughter, Squillia, to fall in love with him.
He soon learned of a way to destroy the anti-zord forcefield to allow all the other rangers to free Earth, but Squillia defeats him and puts him into prison. Zayto & Aiyon were able to bring down the forcefield and free Heckly.
Personality[]
Hecklyl was a kind-hearted and protective person who wanted to guard the Dark Energem, but after being corrupted by the Dark Energem, he became twisted and arrogrant way.
