“ | Hector was exactly the kind of guy I always end up following: heading into middle-age with nothing to show for it but half a head of hair and a beer belly straining against work shirts that always have some kind of food or sweat stain proudly on display. A loser. I know I’m not one to talk, but I couldn’t help sympathizing with the wife, and not just because she was the one paying me. | „ |
~ Gregory Pryor on Hector Loreda. |
Hector Laredo is a minor antagonist of the Rusty Quill horror podcast The Magnus Archives, serving as the secondary antagonist of Mag 49: The Butcher's Window. He was a somewhat unimpressive man living in Liverpool, who eventually became involved with the Ukrainian Mob, working as a drug mule. When he failed at that, he was sent to the mysterious Jared Hopworth to be disposed of.
Appearance[]
Hector was a middle-aged man who was beginning to go bald. He was apparently somewhat overweight and generally had a stain on his shirt.
Personality[]
Hector Loreda was best described as an extremely unintelligent and self-centered man. He showed no qualms with becoming involved in organized crime and failed because of his own forgetfulness. He had no sense of foresight or caution.
Biography[]
Hector was married to Nicola Laredo and lived in Liverpool. Having achieved very little at middle age, he somehow became involved with the Ukranian Mob, who hired him to transport some drugs in a briefcase. However, while transporting the briefcase, he accidentally left it in a cafe. Returning to the mobsters, he explained the situation, and they told him to go see a man named Jared, operating in a butcher's shop in Stockwell. There, Jared put him unconscious and put him in the back room. When Hector regained consciousness, Jared began to supernaturally remove bone and organs from his body and throw them into a mouthlike pit, until Hector was dead.
