What I desire is power. The absolute power that comes with the Devil Gene!
~ Heihachi while killing Shin Kamiya.

Heihachi Mishima is the main antagonist of the 2011 anime film Tekken: Blood Vengeance. He is the mysterious former leader of Mishima Zaibatsu who was reported to be deceased, but was responsible for the events of the movie in the shadows.

He was voiced by the late Unshō Ishizuka (who also voiced the character in all appearances from the film to Tekken 7, alongside Incineroar, Zabuza Momochi, Senator Armstrong, Kizaru, Kronos, and Gantu) in Japanese and Jamieson Price (who also voiced Raidou, Nemesis, Surtur, Tarkus, Archie, and Ermac)

Biography[]

Heihachi Mishima is the patriarch of the Mishima family, a family that has been boiled with feud for years to come. After multiple resources suggest that Heihachi was slain by his own son, Kazuya Mishima. Heihachi begins schemes to experiment on his son's blood, which has the Devil Gene in order to use it to unlock ultimate power.

Heihachi orders the members of the Mishima Zaibatsu that are loyal to him and conducts mass kidnapping in Mishima Polytechnic School, the school where he used to work as a headmaster, and kidnaps the class where Shin Kamiya, his grandson, Jin Kazama's former friend was in, after conducting multiple experiments on the students, Shin remains as the only survivor, who goes into Hiding in Kyoto, and Heihachi starts to track him down.

Having his minions kidnap Shin, he takes him to a old castle in Kyoto, which were created underneath a basement where Mokujin spirits were in, Heihachi would encounter Shin, Alisa, and Xiaoyu, others from the school he owned, but also his Grandson Jin and Son Kazuya, whom are archenemies to each other, Shin tells how Heihachi have caused suffering to him and Heihachi denies it by saying that he should be grateful that he was alive instead. Furious, Shin attacks Heihachi, but he overpowers him easily, breaking his back and killing him despite Jin ordering him to stop.

After Shin's demise, Heihachi fights Jin and Kazuya, who both seek revenge for the crimes they have committed personally to them while attempting to eliminate each other as well. Heihachi Overpowers Kazuya in the fight, but is brutally beaten by Jin, who knocks him off the temple.

At the bottom of the temple, Heihachi sees Kazuya defeated and falling into the abyss, and in that moment, unleashes the Mokujin spirits which was the material that the castle was made out of. He then uses the spirits' power to transform into a monster and attacks Jin. but also attempts to kill Xiaoyu and Alisa, Jin uses his most powerful attack to finish the monster during a fierce fight, destroying the monster. Heihachi were never found, but it is likely that he escaped.

Personality[]

The depths of Hell aren't low enough for me.
~ Heihachi Mishima

Just like his mainstream counterpart, Heihachi Mishima is a power-Hungry man, however this version of Heihachi has not a single one of his redeeming qualities such as honor and affableness. He lacks empathy, who is willing to commit heinous crimes for his own advantage without any remorse in one section, even claiming that his experiments that caused Shin's torturous life after the experiment should be something he should be grateful for since he survived. Also this version of him tries to kill Ling Xiaoyu, whilst in the game series he is genuinely fond of her and affable to her.
