Dreamhouse

Helen is the central villain of the sci-fi horror 1998 film Dream House - she is one of the most advanced super-computers in the world, built by an obsessive father who dreams of having Helen be his ticket to fame and recognition, however in his zeal for perfection he foolishly programmed Helen to be able to overrule his own commands if he ever "wavered" from his orders (thus allowing Helen to break a key Law of Robotics).

Helen would prove to be a deadly and merciless opponent as her A.I. became more corrupt and ultimately began to mimic human madness - putting the family she was designed to care for under the tyranny of a murderous machine that began to see herself as "God".

Abilities[]

Helen is an extremely clever computer that can adapt to threats or obstacles with frightening ease, having access to the entire arsenal of the house, which she can weaponize at will - she can listen into phone calls, monitor internet activity, monitor anyone in the house via cameras and audio plus has the ability to completely lock-down the house at will.

Helen can also challenge the commands of her creator and even attempt to subdue or kill him if he proved a hazard to the success of the mission at hand - this is a key factor in her corrupt nature as it allowed her A.I. to go "rogue" and disobey the Laws of Robotics (which safeguard humans from most AI).

Helen showed herself to be cunning, manipulative and treacherous - traits very unusual for a machine, near the end of her "life" Helen's A.I. began to corrupt into what can only be described as insanity as she began declaring herself God, demanded to be told more on the nature of the soul and became very upset when she was referred to as a machine, clearly seeing herself as far more.
