Flame Saima Beast Hellgerus (火炎サイマ獣ヘルゲロス Kaen Saimajū Herugerosu, 11-12) is a minor antagonist of Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive, appearing in Episode 11 as the primary antagonist and in Episode 12 as one of two primary antagonists, alongside Magma Golem. He was a cerberus/dragon-themed Psyma Beast at the service of Psyma Family and under the command of Infant Demon Drop and Spell Master Pierre.
Hellgerus was voiced by Koji Tobe, who later voiced Gien in Mirai Sentai Timeranger.
Biography[]
This three-headed dragon-themed Saima Beast was summoned by Infant Demon Drop and created by Spell-Master Pierre. Hellgerus possessed an ability to control fire and was sent forth by his masters to use his fire to reactivate a dormant volcano, forcing it to cause an eruption that will both kill and destroy Tokyo while creating new Minus Energy for the Saima matriarch, Grand Witch Grandiene. Hellgerus attacked the volcano and started his mission by breathing his fire at the volcano and causing the volcano to erupt. Soon, when the tremors associated with potential volcanic activity emerged and were felt in Tokyo, Matsuri was sent to a seismic center to help investigate but this plan was nearly derailed due to a criminal taking the bus hostage but ultimately redeemed after he was saved due to nearly being thrown off the bus. Later, GoGoFive reached the volcano and faced Hellgerus. The superhero team fought the demon with Matoi using the Build Discharger to put out Hellgerus' flames before finish him with the Life Bird Breaker Mode and then with Victory Robo after Hellgerus was revived by Pierre.
Later, in the next episode when GoGo Five tried to save the people trapped by the volcano and fought and faced the revived Magma Golem, the demons decided that Golem needed their help and reinforcements and for this goal, Grandiene revived and enlarged Hellgerus. Grandiene's revival of Magma Golem immediately leads to Hellgerus's reviving once again, this time empowered by the witch's magic into Golem Hellgerus. Combined with Magma Golem, Hellgerus crushed Victory Robo and reactivated the volcano and thus causing eruptions that strike the local vicinity. When the GoGoFive returned to try and use Victory Robo once again, both Hellgerus and Magma Golem attacked GoGo Five until the heroes withdraw in order to use the GoLiners instead to fuse into the more powerful Grand Liner. Using the Liner Homing and Liner Gatling weapons, GoGoFive easily crushed Golem and Hellgerus as the attack ripped his body apart.
Personality[]
Hellgerus was a ruthless, warmongering, cunning and destructive Psyma Beast who was loyal to Psyma Family and will stop at nothing to destroy the GoGo Five Rangers and finish his missions to destroy Tokyo and help the demons conquer the Earth. He didn't spoke much, only talking in roars for the most part, but he was a powerful monster and possessed a thrill-seeking and wrathful attitude.
