Helob is a supporting character of the 2022 roguelike action-adventure game Cult of the Lamb. He is a spider who actively captures and eats people, although he's willing to sell them in exchange for money.
Despite being a mass kidnapper and devourer of sentient beings, Helob is shown to have a genuinely affable personality, always acting kind with the Lamb and even occasionally making discounts or giving his captives away for free.
It's unknown why Helob is so fond of the Lamb exactly, but judging by how he interacts with them he seems to think that the Lamb eats the people that they buy from him, which seems to imply that Helob sees the Lamb as his equal instead of food, possibly because they're wearing the Red Crown.
