Henry Marlow is the overarching antagonist of the 2014 horror video game Alien: Isolation.
His wife was the first person to have a Chestburster burst from her chest, which would go on to establish a Hive that would claim the lives of the majority of the humans onboard the Sevastopol station.
History[]
Henry was desperate to earn money, and he found his opportunity when his crew successfully discovered the Derelict ship on LV-426 containing Xenomorph eggs after recovering the Nostromo's flight recorder. Fortunately, they disabled the warning signal that pinpointed others to its location, meaning that the ship would most likely not be discovered by others visiting the planet.
Henry Marlow was responsible for starting a Xenomorph outbreak when he brought his wife onboard the ship even though she had been attacked by a Facehugger.
The Xenomorph would eventually establish a hive and they would overrun Sevastopol Station.
Henry Marlow realized that Weyland-Yutani was attempting to collect the Xenomorphs, and that their efforts to do so would most likely result in more outbreaks.
He believed that the Xenomorphs were unstoppable and that the only course of action was to make sure that the humans did not make contact with them in the first place.
To prevent Weyland-Yutani from capturing Xenomorphs and using them for breeding, he decided he would blow Sevastopol Station. He was aware that there were still survivors on the ship, but he did so anyway, because his wife was already dead and he felt responsible for her death. He believed that Ellen Ripley would have done the same thing, as she self-destructed Nostromo to blow up the Xenomorph that had stowed away.
Marlow was likely killed after Nina Taylor hit him with a wrench, or when the Anesidora exploded after he overloaded her fusion reactor.
