Heppoko

Heppoko (ヘッポコ Heppoko) is a minor antagonist in the Romance Dawn Arc from the manga and anime series One Piece. He is a member of the Alvida Pirates and the triplet brother of Peppoko and Poppoko.

He was voiced by Jerome Bethea in the Funimation dub and portrayed by Rendani Mufamadi in the live-action.

Biography[]

Heppoko, Peppoko, and Poppoko are members of the Alvida Pirates and serve directly under Captain Alvida. All three form a close-knit trio, often seen together during their time aboard Alvida's ship in the East Blue. Known for their unwavering loyalty to their captain, the three men are notorious for their constant praise of Alvida's appearance, a practice they maintain as a means of staying in her favor and avoiding punishment.

The trio was stationed aboard Alvida's ship when the pirate crew unknowingly brought aboard Monkey D. Luffy, who had hidden inside a large barrel. Believing the barrel to be filled with sake, the brothers attempted to open it, unintentionally releasing Luffy. Alarmed by the unexpected intruder, they reported the incident to Alvida. Shortly after, they participated in the pursuit of Luffy and the ship's cabin boy, Koby, who had decided to escape and follow his dream of becoming a Marine.

Despite their efforts to restrain Luffy, none of the three were able to stop him. Luffy easily overpowered the crew, including Captain Alvida, using the abilities granted by his Devil Fruit. After Alvida's defeat, Heppoko, Peppoko, and Poppoko were left with no choice but to obey Luffy's demand and provided a boat for Koby to leave the ship.

Following this incident, the three were not reported to have participated in any notable pirate activity, nor did they accompany Alvida after she reappeared with a new appearance and powers following her consumption of the Sube Sube no Mi. Their current status and whereabouts remain unknown.

Though not known for exceptional combat abilities, each of the brothers was armed and participated in basic crew duties. Heppoko wielded a sword, Peppoko was occasionally seen with firearms, and Poppoko relied more on brute force. Their main function aboard the ship was as enforcers of Alvida's will and as part of her immediate retinue.
