The inspiration! Where have you been hiding?
~ Herald to Mother.

The Herald is a minor antagonist of the 2017 psychological horror film mother!.

She was portrayed by Kristen Wiig who also portrayed Katinka Ingaborgovinananananana in Zoolander 2 and Cheetah in Wonder Woman 1984.

Biography[]

A group of fans arrives at the house of Him and Mother while Mother prepares a big dinner. Then the crowd broke into the house, making a huge mess. One of the fans, the herald appeared towards Mother in a comic relief. After Mother went into the room alone, the herald came and asked her where Mother hid.

Later, the chaos ensues at the house. At one point, the military forces reached to fight deranged cult followers. The herald planned the mass executions. Mother came to see the herald shooting the hostages to death with her guns. She ordered the revolutionaries to execute Mother. However, the herald and the other followers of the cult are killed by an explosion.

Trivia[]

  • As the film alludes to religious symbols, the herald's name is listed at IMDb. So, this character is, basically, the messenger of God as they spread the word of God upon which Him is based.
