Herman Duncan is a character and antagonist in I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu and is Matthew's father.
He was portrayed by Jim Tavaré
Biography[]
He was first seen at his house eating while listening to Jennifer Hills' radio interview. He is called by Becky Stillman and she asks him if he is listening to the interview.
When he finally encounters Jennifer, he takes out his wallet and shows a picture of Matthew to Jennifer. Becky and Kevin Woods tells her that Matthew was his son. They force Jennifer to dig but she manages to escape from them. They go to Herman's shed, grabs weapons and starts hunting Jennifer down.
Christy Hills, Jennifer's daughter, encounters Herman and tries to shoot him but the gun had no bullets. Kevin then grabs her from behind tells Herman to rape her, while he does rip her clothes off, he refuses to rape her (Just like how Matthew, for a while at first, refused to rape Jennifer). When Herman and Kevin start an argument, Christy tries to crawl away but watches as Kevin grabs her back.
When Christy was being raped, he assaulted Becky, Kevin and Scotty Chirensky and helps Christy escape. Becky tells Herman to find and bring Christy to her, whether she's alive or dead. He then goes to his son's grave and dumps Jennifer Hills' body in an open grave.
Herman is back at his place and cuts down a noose that was shown to Jennifer earlier then rakes leaves. Later, he catches Christy in his house. He takes out a revolver and tries to shoot her but the gun has no bullets in it, Christy has them and drops them onto the floor. He goes to his shed and takes out an assault rifle and heads back to his house. But when he gets back, Christy has disappeared. He goes back outside and tries to find her. He goes to his barn and starts shooting but then Christy came from behind and stabbed him in the back with a sickle. When Herman asks Christy "Why me?", she answers with "Because" and he falls down. However, he gets back up and starts walking towards Christy but she kills him by shooting him in the head with the same revolver he tried to use against her. After killing him, Christy takes his car. His corpse was later found by Becky.
