Hestler infobox

Hestler Jones is a supporting antagonist in season one of the TV show Justified. He is a sex offender who served time for statutory rape and becomes the right hand man of Bo Crowder.

He was portrayed by Ray Porter, who also played Count Grisham in The Scarecrow, Dale "The Whale" Biederbeck in Monk, the Nightmare Train in The Little Engine That Could and Darkseid in Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Biography[]

Hestler was imprisoned for eight years after being convicted of statutory rape. While on parole, he joined the Crowder mob, and became Bo Crowder's right hand man.

In his first appearance in the episode "Veterans", Hestler is sent by Bo to extort money out of meth cooks Mickey and Puller, who have recently been forced to join Bo's protection racket. Later, Mickey and Puller are being driven out of town by Hestler and Johnny Crowder when Bo flags the car down, giving Hestler and Johnny the symbol to kill them. As a result, Hestler guns down Puller, while Johnny kills Mickey. Hestler is then sent to follow Ava Crowder, but US marshal Raylan Givens shows up and confiscates his gun. Hestler threatens to get another gun, but Raylan slams a glass down on his index finger, injuring his hand and preventing him from doing so.

In the following episode, "Fathers and Sons", Hestler, Johnny and Bo arrive at a warehouse, where they assist a drug cook in setting up a meth lab. Soon after, Hestler and three others are seen at Ava's house. Hestler begins to harass Ava, who runs away, afraid that he might rape her.

In the Season finale "Bulletville", Hestler is ordered to lock Pilar and Ernesto in a closet so they can't contact their uncle Gio. Hestler then accompanies Bo and Johnny to kidnap Ava, and is present when Bo shoots and wounds Johnny for betraying him. While holding Ava hostage in a cabin with Bo and Rufus, Hestler is sent out to check the perimeter when Raylan arrives and is captured, but Bo's son Boyd arrives and shoots him dead.
