~ Hideki Tojo as a duck before being hit by the Jerry Colonna/Joseph Stalin rabbit. |
Hideki Tojo is an antagonist in Looney Tunes, appearing in the episodes "Tokyo Jokio" and "The Goldbrick" and also as a duck in the Looney Tunes cartoon "The Ducktators". He is a parody of the real-life Japanese prime minister who led the Imperial Japanese Army in WWII as a member of the Axis Powers, along with Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.
Biography[]
In "The Ducktators", Hideki Tojo was swimming across the ocean with a sign on his back depicting the rising sun, while he sang "The Japanese Sandman". When he arrived on the shore, he planted his sign on what he thought was a rock but ended up being a turtle shell. The turtle woke up in anger and started beating him with it. Tojo vehemently apologized and tried to convince the turtle that he wasn't Japanese by showing him a badge he had that said he was Chinese, (which included a disclaimer that said "Made in Japan"). The turtle didn't buy it and continued to beat him with the sign. After that, Tojo joined Hitler and Mussolini in the Axis Powers and they marched forth to take over the world. While they did, they trampled a peace-loving dove, who very quickly changed his ways to violently attack The Axis Powers. He started by punching Tojo in the jaw and then the belly. As the dove fought the other ducks, a huge fight broke out. Hideki Tojo spotted a moving barrel and looked inside of it only for a mustached rabbit to pop out and smack him on the head with a giant mallet. Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo ran away in fear but they were stopped when the minuteman from the "Buy War Bonds" sign came to life and shot them all to death. After that, Tojo's decapitated and badly bruised head was plastered on a plaque that sat above the fireplace of the peacemaking dove, along with the heads of Hitler and Mussolini.
