Higuma is a minor antagonist of the live-action series One Piece, based on the anime/manga series of the same name. He was a mountain bandit, but got eaten by the Lord of the Coast.
He is portrayed by Tamer Burjaq.
Biography[]
During the childhood of Monkey D. Luffy, Higuma was the leader of a band of mountain bandits. The band swept into the town where Luffy lived and demanded grog, only to find that the last of it had been purchased by Red-Haired Shanks and his crew. Higuma personally insulted Shanks before storming out of the town; while Shanks laughed it off, Luffy was furious that Higuma had disrespected his hero.
Shortly afterward, while Shanks's crew was not in sight, Higuma and his band returned to town. While drinking at the same pub where they'd caused trouble before, Luffy screams at the bandit, only to be grabbed by his collar. He was interrupted by the return of Shanks and his crew. Seeing what the bandits were doing to Luffy, the pirates decided to interfere and save Luffy. Lucky Lou shot one of Higuma's men, which led to a fight that the pirates and Shanks easily dominated. During the commotion, however, the bandit leader had sneaked away with Luffy and went out to sea with him on a small boat. However, at that moment, the giant Lord of the Coast appeared, pushed the two off the boat and devoured Higuma.
Personality[]
Higuma was a man who was used to getting his own way. He walked about as though he owned the world and was prepared to kill if need be. If anyone resisted him, he would threaten them with his status as a criminal and a killer. In truth he was a coward and proved this twice; when his men were wiped out and when he faced the Sea King.
Appearance[]
Higuma was a tall man with tanned skin and long dark hair. He also had a dark beard. He wore a long brown coat with a yellow diamond pattern on the left side. Underneath he wore a green shirt and a belt. His sword was also attached to his left hip.
