Hill Giants are a race of extremely destructive Giants from the popular fantasy role-playing franchise Dungeons & Dragons, they are also the lowest of the True Giants and the most profoundly stupid - this does not stop them from having decent fighting skills, and from being among the most likely kind of Giant for adventurers to face due to their relentless hunger and uncaring nature for those below them.

Biography[]

Due to their stupidity, their violence and their hunger they are the Giants most closesly resembling what we see as the fairytale "evil" giant stereotype - while a completely lawless brute by design a Hill Giant can be guided by Giants higher in the Ordning, who may set them loose on villages or other targets in order to provide distraction or to weak potential enemies.

All True Giants in Dungeons and Dragons obey a system of rules known as the Ordning, which ranked the Giants into a hierarchy, Hill Giants are the lowest of all the True Giants but still outrank Giant Kin such as Ogres - though mostly only because of their sheer size.
