Holly Thompson is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Drifter) of the 1988 sci-fi action film, They Live and the comic book adaption, Nada. She is a traitorous woman who fakes being a member of the Resistance but reveals herself to be helping the aliens with genocide on humans.

She was portrayed by Meg Foster.

Biography[]

Holly Thompson is first shown when the protagonist, Nada, holds her hostage and tries to convince her into wearing the glasses which reveal who are aliens and who are not, Holly convinces him to keep his guard down and quickly knocks him out with a vase.

Holly is for the second time shown in a rebellion meeting of resistance members, lying about using the glasses and knowing the truth, she also shuts down the rebels and their ideas of where the broadcast signal is. Moments later, dozens of armed aliens show up and massacre every member except Nada, Frank, and herself.

As Nada and Frank start to climb the cable 54/the location of the alien's transmitter, they find Holly and bring her up the stairs and when Nada leaves, she quickly executes Frank. After coming to the roof, she finally reveals to Nada that she is in actuality a traitor helping the Aliens with their plan of genocide. in her final moments She attempts to convince Nada into stepping away but is quickly gunned down by his gun, her plan to help the aliens ultimately doesn't work as Nada sacrifices his life to expose the aliens and save earth.

  • Holly is one of the only characters who doesn't exist in the book and is a completely new addition.
