Homer Adlawan (a.k.a Alakdan) is a supporting antagonist in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
He is a leader of a terrorist group known as Kamandag a subgroup of freedom fighting rebels known as Pulang Araw who are working under Renato Hipolito’s despotic authority. He is also responsible for indirectly killing Cardo’s son by detonating a bomb created by Lucio Santanar.
He is played by Jhong Hilario.
Background[]
At young age, he was recruited in a freedom fighting rebel group known as Pulang Araw and eventually established his own subgroup known as Kamandag. He conspired with Renato Hipolito’s corruption by detonating bombs throughout the country with his partnership to Lucio Santanar. With the serial bombings, Romulo Dumaguit and Pulang Araw are framed from his atrocities.
As terrorism crisis hits, Cardo decided to return to military force to avenge his son’s death, he met Cardo while the latter is spying under the name Fernan about the Pulang Araw. Later on, Cardo learns that he was the one responsible for the serial bombings wherein the former infiltrated his camp in attempt to avenge Ricky Boy’s death. He leaves Mount Karagao and hid in Renato Hipolito’s mansion upon learning that Cardo and Pulang Araw discovered he is the traitor of Pulang Araw.
He continued working in Renato Hipolito’s campaign by constantly terrorizing Philippines and dueling Renato’s enemies such as Sen. De Silva and Emilio Syquia. His terrorism alarmed Pres. Oscar Hidalgo, and believed that Cardo Dalisay and Vendetta (group remnants of Pulang Araw and Cardo’s cellmates) are the ones terrorizing the country. Despite of Renato’s failure to win as a senator, he continued serving Renato and continued to conspire with Lucas Cabrera in their fascism. One night, he faced Cardo upon tracking Vendetta’s hideout causing the two have a violent duel. Cardo then managed to take him down by stabbing his stomach with a broken beer bottle. With his failure, this disappointed Renato Hipolito and Lucas Cabrera.
As Lucas Cabrera usurped the Malacañang Palace, he worked as one of their private army involved in their fascism. He then killed Gen. Terante and Gen.Marquez, as requested by Pres. Cabrera after learning that they are useless in their plans in eliminating Vendetta and Pres. Oscar Hidalgo. Later on, he arrives in Sto. Niño with his group facing Tanggol, the leader of bandits of Sto. Niño and Señor Gustavo, a businessman who runs mining business cooperated with Sec. Hipolito and Pres. Cabrera. He realizes that Señor Gustavo was Don Emilio, whom he previously encountered where he was corned by Don Emilio’s men after attempting to steal the latter’s supplies. While watching Señor Gustavo’s mines he helped Tanggol enslave locals of Sto. Niño to be their miners. On the same occasion, he continuously exchanged insults and assaults with Tanggol who both share hatred to each other.
Vendetta then rescued the locals of Sto. Niño, causing a shootout allowing him to abduct Bubbles and Gen. Oligario and finally kill Romulo in the midst of the duel. As he abducts Bubbles, he abused her until he impregnates her causing him to have a feud with Renato as the latter believes that his weakness is Bubbles. Vendetta have raided Renato’s mansion thanks to Lily Anne Cortez, making him alarmed in Cardo’s arrival. Cardo then manages to fight him, and in the midst of their combat he sees Bubbles escaping with Jerome attempting to shoot the latter but was blocked by Bubbles. Cardo then disarms him, and he gots shot by the knees and the forehead finally resulting his end.
Personality[]
He is displayed to be extremely sociopathic individual, showing that he is emotionless and doesn’t show any remorse to his actions showing inhumane acts such as massacring innocent individuals and bombing different places. The reason why he commits terrorism acts is due to that he is highly obsessed in money, seeing that these crimes are his motivations to make him a wealthy individual. This behavior also caused Pulang Araw disowned him, due to that they found out that he wasn’t used to be a greedy and murderous man who commits crimes just to earn money. His emotionless nature makes him also a murderous individual wherein he stated to the new recruits of Pulang Araw that once you point your gun to your enemy, immediately fire them to death opposing to Cardo’s etiquette in usage of firearms.
In majority of the scenes, he is short-tempered man who gets easily angered every time he fails or anything he wants isn’t followed such as Bubbles will give her love to him allowing him to force himself to Bubbles by constantly beating her and sexually assaulting her. With his wrathful demeanor, this also drives his life at risk such as the moment he wrathfully attempted to take down Cardo wherein he was stabbed in his stomach resulting in near death situation.
He is an opportunistic man wherein if he is tasked to commit crimes with an exchange of high amount of moneys, he is willing to commit it such as bombings even to the extent that there will be civilians will be involved in his violent crimes. Aside from these crimes he commit are his for personal earnings, this also proves his loyalty to Renato Hipolito as his commander in their forces.
Despite of his murderous mindset and overall psychopathic nature, he also displays some sympathy anyone who supports him such as his friends in Pulang Araw who became his enforcers in his subgroup Kamandag. He notes that his bonds with his fellow members in Kamandag is their brotherhood wherein he stated that they share their parts in their earnings and drink in one glass. However, at one point when one of his friend attempted to deflect their organization, he stated that if one is coward he can exchange friendship from protection against danger. This indicates that he doesn’t spare who distrust him, cowards, failures, or traitors in his group.

- His codename “Alakdan” means scorpion in Filipino Language.
- His actor Jhong Hilario has also been guested in Coco Martin’s project Juan Dela Cruz prior to FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano where he played a minor villain in the series named as Poldo.
- His actor Jhong Hilario, alongside with Lito Lapid, Mark Lapid, and Edu Manzano who worked in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano have exited in March 2019 due to their political campaigns for 2019 senatorial election.
- He is similar to Dante Madarang, another villain in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as they both share being murderous and terroristic individual capable of harming innocent civilians in the society. Furthermore, they are also short tempered individual and failure angers them which they share something in common.
