Horri-Bull is a minor antagonist in the Transformers franchise. He was based on a figure from the 1988 toyline.
Marvel Comics[]
Horri-Bull first appeared in Issue #46 as one of a trio of previously unseen Decepticon Headmasters serving under Scorponok on Earth. His Nebulan partner, Kreb, assisted Lord Zarak with a scheme to recruit a group of human bounty hunters known as the Roadjammers to hunt Autobots for them. They succeeded in capturing Autobots Fizzle, Sizzle and Backstreet, but on coming across Horri-Bull and his fellows Fangry and Squeezeplay they used the devices on them as well, brainwashing them into fighting Scorponok, who was forced to destroy the Roadjammers' equipment in order to halt the attack.
In the UK-exclusive story "Time Wars", Horri-Bull was one of a group of Decepticons led by Misfire who pursued Highbrow, who had taken Scorponok's head. The group succeeded in recovering the head and restoring their leader but Horri-Bull and most of the other members of the group were displaced into limbo by the arrival of Sinnertwin and several other Decepticons from the future, playing no further part in the battle.
Horri-Bull was seen during the Underbase Saga, where he was among Scorponok's troops rushing to their leader's rescue after a disagreement with the main Earth Decepticon faction led by Ratbat. Horri-Bull was quickly taken down by Blitzwing. After a lengthy absence, he reappeared in Issue #71 among the Decepticons taking the surrendering Autobots into custody, subsequently being among the troops gathered together by Soundwave to fend off an attack by Shockwave's rogue Decepticon faction and then transported to Cybertron to defend it from Unicron.
Horri-Bull was among those who survived the battle and fell under Bludgeon's command. In the final two issues of the title, he took part in the Decepticons' invasion of Klo only to be defeated in battle with Autobots led by the returned Optimus Prime and forced into retreat.
Horri-Bull was seen in Marvel UK's near future stories leading up to the movie in "Prime's Rib", where he, Fangry and Squeezeplay accompanied Shockwave to investigate the unveiling of the Autobots' new weapon, which turned out to be Arcee. They had some success dog-piling on Optimus Prime until Arcee stepped in and helped drive them off.
